Man, I'm seriously envious of that corset! I love Victorian-era clothing (I don't know why, but the hourglass shape is really appealing - no matter what the feminists say!). I'm actually in awe of your sewing skillz. mrgreen Make more works of art like this! (And, of course, post the pictures of them once finnished so we can further admire your work!).

That is totally georgous.

What I want to know is how long have you been sewing for? Like how long did it take you to get that good? And what experience and education in sewing do you have?

That is obviously not beginner work, infact I have been hobby sewing for 2/3 years and I don't think I could make that without SERIOUS instruction from someone with a lot more experience than me.

That's really really gorgeous! As big of a pain as it might be, I think a grey glove suade one would be fabulous. I completely envy your corset-foo

Oh Dear God, that's just amazingly, jaw droppingly well done. I would totally and happily shell out the money for something like that! That's 4 months well spent, if you ask me.

And as to where to wear one of those? Why, the renn fest!

Exactly!! I'm currently thingking about making a corset for everyday style wear, but my main thought is- do I make it elizabethan (flat fronted) or victorian (curved)? This is inspiring me to go with victorian.

Its absoluetely stunning! I cant believe the sheer detailing. And it will likely go about 5 times faster for the next one. My first elizabethan corset was 9 hours with help. My second one was about 3 hours by myself (with breaks).
