Pssh, if anyone cared about looks...
Listen, they ******** up EVERYONE'S phrases.
At least all said thus far.

Dattebayo DOES somewhat mean, "believe it" but Naruto says it wrong in English.
It's not just, "Hi my names Naruto believe it."
It's, "Hi my name's Naruto, BELIEVE IT!!" XD
Dattebayo is an OBNOXIOUS word in Japanese.

Also, Shikamaru's, mendokusee which literally means, "how troublesome" becomes, "WHAT A DRAG."
What is he, a 40-year-old has been surfer dude? Give me a break!
Awful. Ever since they did that, no more English Naruto for me. xD

um...I'm not POSITIVE.

No. It's not profain.
It's immature, but not vulgar.
Children use it all the time in Japan.

It's also commonly associated with people who are energetic, which of course is why many children use it.

Yeah. I forget what it is, though.
He DOES say, "mendokusee" so much that it looks like one of those... they way to catch it is that it's sometimes in the middle of the sentence. xd
But I know what you mean. He has an, "accent." xd

@ Lord Someguy: Because he isn't the Shika-Kun we all love anymore. sad

Only an inraged fangirl with rabies would memorize his, "dialect."
Shikamaru's dialect is hard to write in just one way.
It applies to almost all of his sentences dynamically.
