What I don't like is the fact that people think that Kiwi's say sux or sex instead of six but I being a Kiwi turned Australian know that it is actually the Australians who say sex instead of six or cheaps instead of chips, we have a lazy language heart No offence meant to anyone.

With accents, anyone with one will always think there own is 'lazy' or 'flat' compared to the others, because to imitate different accents takes a non-native quite a lot of effort to alter the way they talk.

took the words right out of my mouth...
Though I must say...have you ever heard an Irish guy try an Australian accent? rofl

Back on topic...I LOVE vegemite...with heaps of butter...YUM!

I can never be stereotyped with my accent - cause the bloody thing keeps changeing without me noticing!

I can go from an "americanised" accent to one thats British, scottish or irish, to a even slightly romanian one, all in one sitting without even noticing!

No, but I'm guessing it's either the most adorable thing humanly concievable of another man, or so funny I might have to change my nickers.

Some people love our accents.

And I hate Vegemite.

People ADORE our accents. Just as long as they don't think we all sound like Steve Irwin. Now there's a stereotype that must die.

Vegemite - meh. I haven't had it in years, and I'm not going to start eating it again any time soon.

I agree.
I get so annoyed with the 'Crocodile Hunter'.
I must say, our accents are AWESOME! When I came back from America after being there for a month, I noticed them so much.
But I LOVE the NY accents in the USA. I was in the supermarket and a 3 yr old kid was talking with an American accent. It was so cute that my friend and i had to actually run out of the store before we cracked up laughing.

I don't really like Vegemite, I only ever have it on French Toast (SOOO yummy)

In Australia, many women find the Irish accent attractive. According to my sources, in Canadia, it is the Australian accent that turns women's heads. Thus, I feel obligated to go to Canadia and talk lots 3nodding

Yes, up here the Aussie accent definitely gets attention. I once warned a mate of mine (who was a bit of a player, especially with any Canadian women he met down there) that he'd be tamed if he came up here. He didn't believe me, until we went to the pub one night during his visit. He wasn't a player anymore when he got back home. *giggles*

It also depends on the area of the country you go to, though. Some places, like my St. Kitts, see a lot of Aussies, so people are more accustomed to the accent. It'll still turn heads, but it's not as much of a turn on.

Then there are those like me who, while they still love listening to an Australian talk, it has no real affect on us because we know so many. 4laugh

Am I the only girl on the planet that loves spanish accents?
;.;

I think alot of the world sees us as a bunch of people who sit round all day drinkin beer.
And I don't have a problem with that; no one's going to rage war on us if they think we're just drinkin beer.

My teachers Irish.
And when we can't inderstand him, he puts on an Australian accent.
I don't think it's that funny.
Me and one of my friends just love making fun of him though.

I ADORE vegemite.
It's awesome.

I've heard a few shoutouts form americans over gaia.
They sound so funny!
x3

But yeah, I don't think I sound very australian.
I watch too much American TV.
When I was little, apparently I used to say 'mom' instead of 'mum'.

One accent I love is Swedish accents.
I WANT ONE.

Netball was invented in the US, as a female version of Basketball.

Vegemite is ok...but I'll only eat it with butter. As for the accents, well aussies tend to slur words.
