ok, don't bite off my head or anything, but it really does bother me. boys making out, is sick. and i don't want to see it! really! i mean, if boys are liking boys, there are less guys to go around, and believe me there is a definite shortage on guys who like girls who like manga in my hometown.
ps. did you see that ad for the pirate yaoi? with patric and ian? it was so corny my friend and i laughed at it for like 15 minutes straight! the art was so corny, and the storyline was, worse! omg what a laugh!

I haven't read any of those yet, I just pass the page. I don't have a problem with it, and people you don't like it can just pass the page(like I do, lol).

Really good point. Though for some reason, people like RIzel.Mine feel this need to read about something they have absolutely no interest in and critize it. If you don't like yaoi skip over the advertisements. Simple as that.

Yaoi Press looks crappy anywho. >>;
I'll stick to my Tokyopop BL. And doujinshis. Thanks.

I thought some of the titles Yaoi Press had actually looked fairly interesting, if a bit cliche.. except I think they're all sexually explicit, which I'm not horribly interested in.

Or allowed to buy. sweatdrop

I think Yaoi Press is mainly OEL manga. And from what I've seen of it I think I'll stick with Blu and the OEL titles that Tokyopop has.

Personally, just for the sake of being balanced, they should have an ad for a shojo-ai press...

You know, compared to the millions of shounen-ai ones that they already have...

I like yaoi, so I haven't really thought much about it. Lol

I don't really think it matters.
If they want to pay for an advertisement then they can.
And if you don't really like it all too much, then tell it to SB themselves.

It actually threw me for a loop the first time I saw a yaoi ad in the magazine. It was the last thing I expected to see, especially in a magazine targeted toward girls and young women. It shouldn't be so shocking, considering how many female friends that i have that are totally into yaoi. It's not one of my things, but it gave me GREAT Christmas ideas for my gay roomie.

I don't understand yaoi fandom. I have no qualms with guys making out or anything, but I just don't find that hot. If I'm looking for guys who are attractive, one of the quilities I look for is he has to be fairly hetero. It's not that I'm homophobic, it's just the best love is requited and love isn't requited if the other person is gay.

As for bisexuals, most of the ones I've meet have been extremely horny man-sluts who haven't made much of a good impression. With some of them I'm not surprised they like both sexes, they'd probably screw trees.

I know exactly what you mean. It's just not interesting when a guy would have no interest in you if, completely randomly, he appeared in the real world...

Oh yeah, that too. Yaoi guys aren't real.
That's why I've never understood hentai either. If you insist on watching porn, why not watch porn with real actors?

This is very true.
I just don't get it. I'm not sure how reading about a couple of gay guys is fun when you're not a gay guy yourself...
I have no problems with gay people, I know quite a few myself, and I don't mind them as characters...but a whole series about gay people just doesn't make sense to me...maybe I'm too backwards in my thoughts...
