I bite mine constantly. I always do it when I'm nervous, and that's all the time. Sometimes, when they break off, I like to eat them. Ewwww. ><

Eh, I never used to bite them but I find myself doing so a bit when they're cracked or sharp or uneven. I usually let my nails grow long so they break just by catching on small things and so where I used to leave them like that I bit them to get them to be someone less lethal.
My friend used to bite her nails all the time though, but she has stopped and now her nails are as strong as ever because she bit them all the time. She cuts them to deadly points to attack people she doesn't like.
<.< I'm joking by the way, though she does usually attack her little sisters. >.>

Thankfully, I've never started the habit. For those who do, I suggest gum. I was big on gum when I was younger and perhaps that kept me from biting my nails. I also used to play the violin and this required that I cut them frequently. So perhaps playing a stringed instrument is another good way to keep your fingers otherwise occupied.

I really enjoy it. It's a habit that I enjoy. The nails taste yummy, I can't stand long nails 'cause they usually make dents in my palm, and with longs nails, my hands feel very odd. Though I do sometimes bite them so low that I start to bleed and can't feel my finger for a bit, I still enjoy. You can call me a freak but I really don't care. It's a habit. Like I hate my habits.(Other procrastination. The one I hate...) I chose "...I like monkeys..."

I bite my nails when I am stuck or bored, which tends to be a lot of the time, and I am trying to stop. ^^; I haven't bit them in over a week, but now I think I just completely screwed myself over, and I am more than likely going to bite them later. >x<
I chew on pencil erasers, they end up in numerous pieces on the floor, and pen caps too, but they don't always taste that great.

I bite my nails when there's something to bite. It's a horrible habbit, but I've never wished to stop. If there's something to cut them off with instead, I do that. It's just a sake of keeping my nails short. Like my hair gonk Good thing I can't bite that.
I have thick blonde hair and I'd actually really like it to be super-long and in one single dread lock. But the transition from buzz-cut to super-long is something of a pain. I remember a guy used to walk 'round ASDA all the time and he had hair like that, it was awesome, it was down to his waist.
I'm gonna' make a thread about hair dreams...

I always enjoy clipping my dog's nails and seeing how far they go. They're that thick you need cable cutters to get through them.
My sister's usually the first to complain though.
"Mark! They're going in the cups! Stop it!"

Maybe I’m just weird, I do it seasonally. In the winter I bite them, and generally then chew on them once they've been bitten off, but I don’t do it as much in the summer.

BAD HABIT, BAD HABIT!
Yes, I bite my nails. I know I shouldn't, but I do. emo
Also, I have a perpetual fear of nail-clippers (my parents used to shave off the skin when they were clipping them) and I can't grow them long, because then it hurts when I make a fist. Punching things when your nails dig into your palm is not fun.
EDIT: I punch things on a regular basis because I take karate. >_> I just realized that I should clarify that. I'm not some crazy person who runs around punching people (most of the time)

I usually start biting my nails when I'm hungry, but have to wait untill my next meal. And it's quite relaxing, I've found.
