the manga's kinda better in my opinion because it covers the real story by nobohiro watsuki in the right order unlike the anime

and i'm not dissing the anime it was freiken awesome

i like both equally but the manga is kinda funnier, the jokes are kinda screwed up in the translation in the anime and also the anime OVA relfections DOESNT tell the true story so really i'm voting both but if i have to choose i'd choose manga

On the subject of OVA's, I have heard that they're not very good. From what I know of them, Kenshin dies some pretty lame-o death. I've also heard that Watsuki-sensei did not write them himself...that brings up two questions.

Why didn't he?
Who did?

1. Because he'd already written a perfectly satisfying ending in the manga.
2. His producers (well, whoever the producers hired) because they wanted to make more money by whoring Kenshin around. >.<

What I read was, Seisuckhen was the director, Kazuhiro Furohashi's vision for how the story should have ended. He wanted to retell RK as a historical period drama instead of a manga story. That's why all the comic bookish stuff and humor are stripped out, leaving a darker telling of the same story.

I definitely like the manga better. In the anime, Kenshin sounds like a girl!! Ew. That's the main reason I dislike it. Also, in Samurai X reflections, they changed Kaoru's eye color from blue to brown. I liked Kaoru's blue eyes. 3nodding

I've read all 28 books also. Later on, I found some of these epilogue things. Anyone ever heard of Haru ni Sakura (Cherry Blossoms in the Spring) or Yahiko's Sakabato?

I like Manga better. It's because it's always ahead of the anime. Or if it is just starting and the whole anime series is finished, then you can just continue on with the Manga if it's finished.........sorry if I am confusing lots of you. I just love anime and manga..... A LOT. I may not look it but I am.

I like the manga better. The charicters have a lot more personality. And it's true.....kenshin does sound like a girl....

Yup. YNS showed a glimpse of the great warrior Yahiko would one day be and Haru ni Sakura was a cute, quiet wrap-up to an awesome story.

in the Japanese verison of the anime he's played by a woman. Her name is Suzukaze Mayo and she also did Kenshin's image song Aisuru Hito o Mamoru tame ni and a duet with Karou's voice actress called Natsu no E (a very cute song by the way. i have it whee ) and she also does the second endign fro the series called Namada wa Shitteiru

I started with the anime and really loved it but then started reading the manga. The manga's better.

Personally, I prefer the manga for just about every event - except the final showdown with Lord Shishio. For some reason, the way those episodes were directed just kicked the manga's butt royally.

MANGA. I always like manga better than the anime because the art is usually prettier and the storylines are SO MUCH BETTER. Take Bleach for example D:

Plus, there aren't any stupid fillers.
