AC/DC and TISM are two great bands. Also interested in a few relatively new Australian bands, like Sydonia and Mushroom Giant (both Melbourne based bands)  

I feel so odd for being Australian and having not heard of a lot of the bands mentioned in this thread...

Thirsty Merc is my current favourite though and Killing Heidi, what I've heard from them is good as well.

Yeah, I agree with King Of Ninjas, I really don't like hip-hop, but the Hilltop hoods are awsome... I saw them at the Big Day Out 2006.

My favourite album of theirs is 'The Hard Road Restrung'. It's most of the stuff from 'The Hard Road', but it's slightly remixed and backed by the Adelaide symphony orchestra. So crazycool
