And then you told us not to cheat. gonk I know this because you act NOTHING like him. >.>; Plus, not even he is truly as obnoxious as those questions. Unfortunately, my results aren't fudged. I've gotten Shikamaru on every character test I've taken despite my efforts. Personally I think Shikamaru's a big whiner, so getting him is really annoying for me. I've even taken it so far as filling out the forms that are scored by random, yet non-computer people. I still get Shikamaru. I think I'll just start writing -dattebayo after everything, just to see what happens. Also, as Liz said and I pointed out in the first post, getting Shikamaru is very easy.

Notice how a significant amount of users have him in their sig? It's not right. His personality type is not typical.
Analytical personality; to an obsessive level, is not common. He may not gab on about it, but he definately does such. Not intentionally, either. What I've also noticed about him is that he is very independent, yet has a low self-esteem; a rare combination. With this he has anxiety; something a good third of us suffer with; NOT HALF. >_> He also is far more relaxed. So, he suffers from anxiety, yet is a relaxed person. That is not common. He also struggles with sexual issues. Obviously. He can't stand girls, but he's not gay, either. Most of us understand our place in our own sex lives. Most of us, mind you. On top of this, he is very certain he is manly. Or strives to be so. He aspires to be strong, responsible, yet he's recessive and passive (not in the same way as Hinata). His whole life is pretty hypocritical when really looked at. But he manages NOT to contradict himself. He's an enigma. MOST people are not. I've also determined he has allergies (random factoid). His behavior indicates that he is not typical, yet so many people say they are like him. Getting him on a quiz doesn't make you, or me, or anyone else like him. (What makes me think that I am like him is that I match everything I mentioned, and more.)
I have evidence for all my claims, by the way... Unfortunately it's all paraphrasing and a couple things are explainations for behavior. I'm certain it would not make sense to you, or anyone else here, unless you saw the world as I do.

A Shikatard is a person who wants to be just like Shikamaru so bad that they lie to look like him, or are unaware or who he really is, and pretend to be like the stereotypical views of him. They also put on a Shikamaru face; walk around like they're him. I know most of them don't stalk him as much as I have. So I'm always on critique. They hate me for it because I catch their mistakes, they get pissed off and break character. The assholes they truly are break out.
I'm not really calling you that, but... well, maybe I did. xd Minus the a*****e part; you're not an a*****e. Nor are you stupid. You're smart. Quite bright, actually. But you're no genius. I don't think there are any geniuses here, including myself... Genius is such a big word, y'know?

Captain Verd I don't think you understand. I know I'm nothing like Shikamaru. I would punch myself in the face if I were like Shikamaru. However, I was too lazy to put in all the options, and I didn't fudge my answers. You said yourself that too many people get Shikamaru, so quiz makers must not understand his personality. 1. He fidgets. Often. It's a nervous behavior.
2. He panics. He always does, but he manages to keep his cool.
3. He brushes EVERYTHING off, because it bothers him.
4. He sleeps WAY too much. For me, anyway, it's an escape.
Anxiety is not just worry. It is fear and, as is the root word, anxiousness. It is also just a nervous condition. Trust me, I know.
You're confused. I wasn't talking about sex. The better word would have been, "gender complex." The household he was raised in brought it on him. Dominating mother, recessive father in denial; Shikamaru took on that outlook. It is scientifically proven that we take on our parents to an at least subconcious level, which is where a lot of unexplained behavior comes from. He has NO reason to HATE girls besides his mother's behavior. "Drag" was the word used in the English version, and it's definition is rather different than the Japanese, "Mendokusee" which by definition doesn't even quite mean troublesome. It's hard to explain in English. You're saying it like he's a romantic; Shikamaru doesn't understand girls: AT ALL. That is what I ment when I said he had sexual issues. I don't mean he masturbates to man porn. I mean he's totally gender ******** up. He thinks he's such a manly man, or wants to be one. It's his little twisted dream. Though he understands when the coming of age his. My point is that his problems have always been ignored; and not even acknowledged by fans, because clearly, they just plain don't get it. |

Not necessarily. Such technicalities are irrlevant; this isn't about semantics. Panicking is a state of mind, not body. It reaches the body, that is called anxiety. It does not have to reach the body, and make a person lose their control.

My teachers consider it very strange.

You can get characters you don't like. The whole point of taking the quiz is to answer the questions truthfully, which I did. Yes, I see myself as free, no, I don't believe in fate, yes, I lie out on my hammock and watch clouds pass over me for hours on ******** end, weapons are okay, kids are okay, and I don't believe that hard work solves everything.
I didn't take the quiz to get a specific character, I took it to see which one I would get. I don't actively avoid questions about being lazy, because that's retarded, and then I would be lying.

Shikamaru actually feels trapped, not free. Freedom is his desire. He thought being a ninja would complete him, and in some ways it has, but it didn't work out completely. And his policy isn't, "hardwork gets nothing done," his policy is that, "unnecessary dilligence will lead to unnecessary outcomes." He also says there is no point in rushing through life. Meaning skipping everything to relax; COMMON MISSCONCEPTION. I think about 90% of america loves the sky, and loves hammocks. ANYONE CAN BE A LAZY FAT/SKINNY a**. >_>

It was mentioned in the character book that he likes them. Love was an exagirration on my part. He was facinated enough with weapons to choose them. He could have done anything he wanted. He picked weaponry over taijutsu. There is no such thing as an obvious answer for freedom. Neji is sick of being oppressed. He is a caged bird, but freedom isn't his exact goal, he wants more than that. Freedom is the theme of Naruto. YES. THE STORY THEME. Everyone craves freedom.
Guess what. So is everyone in America. YOU'RE NO DIFFERENT. >_> Next to lazy are OTHER potential answers that probably make more sense. THAT is what you are leaving out. |
