New Zealand students may 'text-speak' in exams

As A New Zealander, I can assure you that they decided against it in the end... much to my relief.

What gets me is that they considered it in the first place.

Exactly, because it is such a contradiction between worrying about students learning proper grammar and such and then allowing them to do something like that.

I mean, there are just no words for something like that.
