When I first listened to them, I thought that they had a tiny bit of FOB's style, but not enough to confuse me.
Now, my opinion has changed. They're a totally different band with a totally different sound. The fact that Pete gave them a record deal made no difference. rolleyes

I'm sure there was some influence, but it was minimal.

I love Panic! They were my first concert, I saw them last December xd they were amazing live, I loved all the circus-themed acts always going on in the background that had to do with the song...

I love both the same way,honestly.They are both so talented and cute, i just can't get enough of them.They will never ever get old [well,for me..]

I love both FOB and P!ATD, but they're very different. Fall Out Boy is more classic Punk Rock while Panic! At The Disco has different percussion beats, techno stuff, and synth sounds incorporated. I love them both, though!

I don't get why people are like "OMG THEY SOUND LIKE FOB! O;"
I can tell the difference between them.
Not just because I know every Panic! song, but because of the style of music.

They both have different music styles and the singers have distinct voices. And as hippychick91_13 has said, they are both different in good ways! As a side note, for those that didn't know, FOB did help Panic! sign up with FBR.

I love Panic at the Disco so much.
Them and Fall Out Boy are like my favorite, but the thing is, they don't sound alike. I guess its because Panic is unique.

i love Panic! i knew them before FOB, actually...i saw them last December for my birthday and it kicked. but has anyone noticed that a lot of people (who i guess aren't in this guild) love one band and hate the other? you know, like they're rivals instead of partners? O_O i can't imagine how.
