I've never celebrated Australia Day.

Neither have I.


Before I got the internet and more social (yes, the two went hand in hand) there were times that I forgot it was Australia Day.

Like, I remember when I was in grade 5 or 6, I was watching the 6 o'clock news with dad after spending a day at the pool, when they starting crapping on about Australia Day celebrations. And I was like, to dad "Oh... today was Australia Day?"
"Yup."
"Huh... I didn't know."

And that was it.


And that's still basically how it is. neutral

Going to the city and getting drunk with a bunch of friends, I think.

I do that most Friday nights, but this time I'll have a purpose!

Ahh I have no plans for Aus Day as of yet..
But I shall have some soon!
Hopefully.
Otherwise I'll most likely just go sit around on the foreshore.

Hah, I'm bbqing, beering and waving a flag around at the parade in Newy. Cant complain 'bout that eh?! As a general rule of thumb, I believe that all Australian's should celebrate Australia day by drinking the weeks quota of alcohol in one day...but that...is personal oppinion!

There's more to being Australian then getting pissed, but that's just my personal opinion.

Totally agreed. There's bbqs too...didn't I already admit to that?!

Lol. I'm Australian, German, Irish, Scottish and English, so technically I should be a drunkard by that standard xD. I just chose not to be. I just think there's more than going out and getting pissed.
