I think it's fantastic that he's extending himself as an actor. Far too many child actors have had that held against them basically forever (think Macauly Culkin, the Olsen twins). There's only a few movies left and eventually Harry Potter won't be so popular anymore. He needs to do this kind of thing and the fact that he's chosen such a controversial play (it's a play, not a movie) such as Equus is a really brave and smart move. People hate him for it at the moment, but I honestly think he'll shine.

i agree because if he didnt decide to do this movie, he would be forever stereotyped as harry potter in the harry potter movies

i agree with most of the people.
Dan wants to break out of the HP mold. I mean he'll be stuck with the Harry Potter association until he does another thing. He is still young, and he needs to expand his horizons. I mean the boy is 17, so techincally, he is an aldut and i doubt the director of Eqquis is forcing Daniel to stip and do that stuff. Dan did it willingly

Wait wait wait! Look at the play he is doing! Equus is a bleeding modern classic! I can't be more happy for him. He is willing to take himself seriously as an actor and have a go at what would be a very very daring role. Yes, the subject matter is not conservative friendly, but lasting, world shaking literary work is?

I'm actually happy than Dan is expanding his horizons and doing Equus. If he did the role willingly then it's fine with me cause it's a bloody classic! I know it's shocking because we see Dan as Harry Potter and not as a maturing and growing young man.

rave reviews from a lot of really good actors...than he can
also he is naked for like 4 mins. the play is like 2 hrs and some so
that isnt very highlighted,

ps J.K. Rowling herself has stated she is proud of him and has gone to see
the play so have many of his co actors on HP so if they can accept it why cant you? talk2hand

I was recently watching MTV and on the Best Week Ever it had Daniel Radcliffe on it. I saw him and i was like " OMG Dan is on i gotta watch!" well as i was watching it said Dan was doing another movie so i was totally excited till it said that Dan will be making love to a horse, stripping, cussing (Basically a Porn) and i was like WTF Dan isnt supposed to do that!! i am just so dissapointed in him. it breaks my heart to hear/see him do that. especially because hes tainting himself as an actor with that kind of behavior. what to you guyz think?

sweetie, its not a film it was a stage show. west end, very tastefull (and there wasnt actually a horse on stage, it was just part of the plot. and he is surposed to be mad!)
and well come on hes not 13, and hes being daniel radcliffe, it will make it alot easier to kiis oneone on screen when youve jumped about on stage naked!

i think it takes alot of guts to do that. so i say good for him.
