I don't like it when people primarily rely on txt talk to be funny.
Here's a good rule for jokes using text talk: If it's not funny when you type it out normally, then keep it to yourself.

I used chat speak in the puzzles the other day. The other person who was in my puzzle room was so hard to understand. She didn't give any effort to try to make her notes readable. So I said something like "What d U say!?!!!1111 I cnt reed Ur tipn". Sad part is, she didn't get the hint, and just kept babbling stare But besides that, I can't think of the last time I used 'txt tlk'.

ruler of all cheese I like to say things such as 'zomg' and 'rofl' from time to time. I also like to use improper grammar such as 'ain't', just because I feel like doing so. It's strange, really. I LOVE proper grammar. It doesn't irk me if someone uses txt tlk sparingly, although, of course, lots of it drives me insane. Anyone else feel this strange urge to randomly use txt tlk at times? Online, I prefer to use correct spelling in any instance where it's appropriate. The occasional abbreviation for things such as Laughing Out Loud or Rolling On the Floor Laughing is something I use because these seem like "Proper" txt tlk. It's describing an action, rather than attempting a conversation, so it doesn't feel wrong to use them sparingly. However, in real life, I am prone to using phrases like "ain't" and "you want I should" when I don't actually mean to. It's something that slips out of me every once in awhile in real life. For what reason, I'm not sure, but I'm gradually learning to catch and correct myself whenever I do this.XD

If playing a game where emoticons aren't present, other then smile , etc., I use "lol" and "rofl". If I'm short on time for said game, I sometimes use 'Gtg'. For Serious purposes, I use it like so: This. The first picture was a mistake. Sorry!

I like some words and phrases in txt talk, such as lol, g2g, and omg. But I usually spell out my words, because I don't like reaching for the number keys and it actually takes me more time to think of how to shorten a word than it does just typing the whole thing out.

I will use text talk only on Runescape to sell something. I'll say something like this: "Sellin' rune 2h for 5k" (I am selling a rune two-handed sword for five thousand gold.) But that's about it...oh yes, I'll use it on AIM as well with my friends so they don't feel too bad about it. razz It's fun to correct them, though.

My best friend and I tend to shorten a lot of words on messenger with each other, so I guess you could take it as txt tlk, even though we actually make sense. ^.^
Another of my friends and I use txt tlk to mock people. Especially illiterates, since we're both English majors. 3nodding

Hahaha, I love using txt-tlk when I'm talking with my friends online and we're mocking the people that seriously use it. xd It's hilarious.
