Honh Don't compare Harry Potter and Naruto, please. sweatdrop Though they may be fiction, the elements in their stories are way different. Back on topic, I so agree with crabapplered. I for one don't think Naruto will be canceled. It's just another villain. So what if he planned to take over the world? Who HASN'T tried to take over the world? Plus, it would seem Orochimaru was small fry compared to Akatsuki, who now we all know are the true villains. I guess all those arcs before the time jump was merely the prologue and first ten chapters of what Kishimoto had wanted to write. I believe now, we're in the meat of the story, the body paragraphs, one could say if it were an essay. But he was the only interesting one... crying The Akatsuki are like, out-of-thin-air bad guys. They have no background(s) unless they're about to die, and sometimes not even then; they're just a meaningless obstacle for the unstoppable Naruto to overcome on his way to Hokage/until Sasuke can kill Itachi (WIF NARUTOSS HALP, LOL).

Is it just me or does every single Anime have a evil organization in it. Naruto- Akatsuki, Bleach- Aizen with the Arracar, One Peice- Baroque works, Dragon Ball Z- Freza's gay little thing, Shaman King- Hao with his little buddies, FullMetal Alchemist- The Sins, Military((Sorta)), Kingdom Hearts- Organization thirteen.

Orochimaru outlived his porpose, so he had to make way for the major Akatsuki drama. And anyway, the question should be "Is Sasuke going to go back to playing nice, or is he going to take his water-friend and become the next Orochimaru and Kabuto"? ninja

Soup Ninja is pretty damned cool on his own. To match Kabuto's long-held position as Most Awsome Second-in-Command, though, he'd need special attacks like "Think 'n Hearty" or "Alphabet noodles".

Took a break from the manga a couple of chapters ago (343) to come back to the amazing penor man and the soup boy wonder. eek
Personally, I wanted Sasuke to just roll out when Orochi and Kabuto weren't watching after defeating that lot of ninjas. I didn't want Orochimaru be sent off.
I didn't expect the manga to take a turn like this. Orochimaru was my favorite bad guy. I refuse to believe that he's dead. I'd be cool with it if there were scenes where we could see Sasuke talking to Orochimaru inside is body, mind, separate dimension, or whatever. It disappointed me though, to just rush him out of the picture...for now.
As for Kabuto, I hope that his true intentions or plan come out. Or he could just be the next villain to take on after the Akatsuki. He better have an excellent plan for doing what he wants to do.
(Even if we find out his name, that kid will be forever called the Soup Ninja in my mind. xd Thanks guys!)

@Super-Frog Saves Tokyo: I think I'm second guessing myself right now. It does feel a bit rushed to have Orochimaru killed so fast. Perhaps there will be times when he picks at Sasuke's brain as does the Kyuubi. But that's just a maybe. Usually when Kishimoto kills of a character (example Asuma), he'd draw it out...not like Orochimaru's though...
