That's less then the length of a ruler, that is really short. I like the wands they use in the movies.

The wands they use in the movies are much more believable, are they longer than a ruler though?

IF the wands were about as long as a ruler, how would one carry it around in their pockets? Or like in book 5, Harry began putting his in his back pocket on his jeans before moody stopped him.

i found a stick once, so i pretended it was a wand. it was about 15", and it was a good size...easy to cary and very light...not too big or small...

The 4th DVD came with a form 2 order wands. A few of them wer triwizard champions wands, hermione, Harry (not in triwizard), dumbledore, and some thoers. they went from about 12. in to about 18 in. so...yea...... biggrin

They would be really short, unless they replicated the ones used in the films, which are probably longer.

But I never really thought of this. I'd think they'd probably be a bit bigger than pencils. If they were too big, then you can't hide it anwhere. And if they're too small, then it just looks pathetic.
