There's anothe word like that: judgement and judgment. Both are correct, but I prefer judgement, and grey as well. It just seems more elegant.

Hm, thanks for the clarification.
I've always preferred the spelling of "grey", but I have never used it much because I was unsure. I've been brought up spelling it "gray". xP

Imaginary Tears It depends on your preference. British: Grey Colour Favourite American: Gray Color Favorite I love language differences. They make life more colorful.

Hnn... It seems I seem to prefer the British spelling of things over American. I use 'colour', 'favourite', and 'grey'... I'm always yelled at for it at school or places of the sort, but I don't understand why... They're still correct...

I prefer spelling it "grey," but my Firefox spell checker doesn't like that. stressed
But I prefer the American "favorite" and "color." It just seems more correct to me.

I want to look at this with BBCode! My favorite way of looking at things! ^_^
This is Grey. This is Gray.
According to my preview, looks to me like Gray is the winner! Lightblue is better anyway. ... BBcode is axesome. ((Sorry, that is Axesome. Not awesome. 'Cause I have a history with Axesome, and, oh, well, just don't comment on it Kay?))

I was doing a presentation for my English class when I went to write the word on the board. I put, "grey," and then questioned it, and my teacher said that either "grey" or "gray" are acceptable spellings. Basically, I don't really know either, but I wonder that, too. I put an "e" in the word in my username, if it helps (not that you care how I spelled my username).

I was typing out my thread ((dying or dieing?)), and grey is underlined for spell check. Gray is not.

I personally spell it with an 'e'. Just like I spell 'centre' (rather than center), 'colour' (color), 'favourite' (favorite). We do things the British way in Australia.

I thought it was a British thing, but then the settlements in the USA were a result of angry British people. In New Zealand, you spell it 'grey'.

Silverkleptofox There's anothe word like that: judgement and judgment. Both are correct, but I prefer judgement, and grey as well. It just seems more elegant. I think judgment is used in more of a legal sense.
