Nopes, it's not a specific requirement just like guys don't have to wear spike heals 3nodding (no matter how amusing it is to watch them try to walk in them whee ...until they balance better thn you do, that's just depressing neutral xd )

I don't know about spike heels, but I have worn granny boots for months and walked without issue.
Granny boots with pink laces.

Myes, I'm working on that. presently I measure 25 inches around the waist, so a friend is making me a corset. Sadly it won't be done in time for this competition... crying
