Okay. If you look at your character sheets now, you'll notice a change. I've decided on a final model to use to determine statistical view. I think it's less confusing as there won't be a bunch of ` cluttering up the page. It is now in this format.

Base + Bonus + (Level/5 + Points + Equipment) = Final

As a courtesy, I have personally edited all profiles to reflect this.

So, I just joined and hope to go on with you guyses journey and all, since Invulnerable was the one who told me about this. I really like the storyline, but I'm sort of confused on what's going on, so I'll need an enlightment of some sort.

And what about my post, eh? Is it any good? I used my old RPing style, where I color coded the speech, but don't worry you'll only be seeing green next time, those random colors were for the NPCs I made up, but they wont pop out anytime soon, it's just Violette, which her Speech color is red by the way.

I can't accept your character or your post just yet whee
Why do you have to have the name "Stacy"? -_- Gah. Now I'll have to actively remember to keep you a separate person from a girl I know by that name...
The Guild Members page says you have 6 posts, 3 of which are in this sub-forum. That would mean I need 2 more meaningful posts elsewhere in the Guild. It's mainly for appearances sake wink Anyway. I need a statistic sheet as well.
Points Remaining: 10

Starting Class: (Fighter, Mage, Cleric, Archer)

Hit Points: 30/15/20/25 (0 = dead)

Magic Points: 15/30/25/20 (affects number of spells)

Spirit Points: 2/2/2/2 (affects special skills)

Technical Points: 1 (affects ability to tie skills together)

Strength: 1 (affects how hard you can hit)

Defense: 1 (affects physical damage)

Spirit: 1 (affects power of spells)

Resistance: 1 (affects spell damage)

Speed: 1 (affects turn order)

Dodge: 1 (affects ability to avoid damage)

Dexterity: 1 (affects items)

Luck: 1 (affects critical)
If you copy and paste what's in the code box there, you have a basic starting guideline. You need to pick out what class you are so you know your base HP/MP. The base HP/MP are fighter (30/15), mage (15/30), cleric (20/25), and archer (25/20). Once you have a class, you need to select spells and abilities. Once that's done, you can create a weak, low-level technique.

You also need to fill in the rest of your equipment. You need clothes, footwear, an accessory, and a weapon. I can clearly see an accessory in your profile, but two spots are missing and one is unclear (gloves can be a gauntlet-type weapon). I recommend you keep future classes you want in mind when making your selection of class and equipment now. Your class now can qualify or disqualify you for classes later on. As an example, a thief can only come from a fighter or archer while a summoner can only be a cleric or mage.

I also need to state that the "real world" where the characters come from is just that. The real world. It's out world. As such, please keep that in mind for your history and back story wink When you do arrive in the Big N, a dungeon will be impassible without aid. In that sense, your entrance will have to be reworked.

Though I do accept free-form type writing, I'm also making a points-based form that doesn't rely on dice-rolling or Dungeons and Dragons (as I don't really think that fits in too well with online forums). How this works in the end may be subject to change as I find what does and doesn't work.

Also. Feel free to use one of my IMs to contact me. I'm always open for discussion.

Well, I'll post around more of course! But yeah, I'm still kind of confused, but I edited my whole Skill/stat thing, hopefully if I catch you on MSN or AIM, (I added you on MSN: Premium_x_heart@hotmail.com) I'll get to ask you a few questions so you can explain some of it, Because I want to RP already =P. 3nodding

<_<; SuchiSumi... You can make your entrance post sometime...

Anyway. An explanation of why I haven't posted a reply yet. At first, I was just waiting for the new girl to get her 'real' post in. Then I was deciding exactly what kind of post I was going to do. I've decided on that. It's going to be a cinematic scene, which means I'll probably be puppetting the characters for a few moments. The final reason is that I was reveiwing the battles and battle system. I'm thinking about changing it to a modified DnD (d20) system. It would mean we have attack and dodge rolls as well as skills, statistics, feats, and magic more aligned with a modified DnD system.

Who think this would work? It would also eliminate the 'random chance' statitics per level to a 4 statistics per level (and allow for training between levels to enhanced statistics).

With that done, here's a sample character using Cross.

Cross New System
  • Screen Name: Edymion
  • Character Name: Gabriel Cross Wright (aka: Cross)
  • Character Planet: Terra (aka: Earth)
  • Description:
    -Gender: Male
    -Age: 17
    -Height: 6'1"
    -Weight: 197lb
    -Eye Color: Crystal Blue
    -Hair Color: Flame Red
-Physical: Cross has a medium build, and he prefers simple clothes. He wears short blue jeans and a green polo shirt. He leaves the top button of his shirt undone, and he pulls the shirt bottom down over his jeans, covering his black, leather belt. His jeans come down to just beneath his knee, and his shirt covers to his elbows. Cross prefers to comb his hair straight back, but the front curve (what would be his bangs) dips down slightly. His eyes seem soul-piercing despite his simple clothing. His tennis shoes are nothing special.
-Mental: Cross is a bit of a video game freak. He's "in the know" of almost ever game on the market, especially for his favorite Nintendo consoles. He's named after his mother's favorite Angel; though, he prefers to be called Cross. He doesn't want to insult the great Archangel through his behavior. His favorite form of martial arts revolves around the Samurai Bushido. Though he doesn't believe in (take to heart) some of the code, he does understand it. He can be rash from time-to-time, but he has a good heart. He won't betray anybody, no-way no-how. It's his most redeeming quality; though, it's hard to say it's too redeeming when it often means Cross gets stuck in many-a-situation with nary a plan.
  • Equipment:
Plain Clothes -- This is Cross' favorite pair of blue jean shorts and green polo tee.
Nintendo DS -- I wonder how this'll come in handy... It's just a game system, right?
Spike Blade -- Upgraded with the goomba spike, the sharp edge is perfect for striking soft-bodied foes.
  • History:
Gabriel Cross Wright, preferring to be called Cross, was born one cold winter night to to a military household. His parents were often busy with their duties, but they spent much time with their beloved son. His father is a computer and communications specialist. If there's something to be known about computers, Major West Wright is the man to ask. His mother is an expert tactician. You want the best troop and/or weapons' deployment; you ask for First Lieutenant Sabrina Wright.

Cross always has plenty of free time on his hands. Thankfully, his parents' roles in the military kept him in certain places for extended periods of time. He's always able to make friends and keep them for a good period of time. He always enjoys video games, and he has every Nintendo console and handheld imaginable. He never thought that, one day, those games might just come to life...

Here's how I calculated mushroom points, flower points, and skill pool points. I built my character one level at a time. I started with Level 1, distributed the points as I saw fit, and then added on a level of abilities and skills at a time. This is how I require all characters with levels to be built. Please post them here and I'll edit your journal.
