It was about the size of a nickel.

Ouch, that must've hurt...I imagine you couldn't do crafts for the few days?

One, when I was little and kin Girl Scouts, some hot glue feel on my finger and burned a hole in it. Burned the skin right off, hurt like heck too. The skin grew back, but in like a bubble type way. It's thin and raised. Kind of fun to play with actually.

I was gluing some glass stones to glass jars for my mother. She planned on using them as luminaries in the backyard, but I don't know where that project's gone.

@Clear: More like I didn't want to. for the next few weeks I treated that glue gun like a hungry predator. I stayed clear.

Hot glue is indeed evil. I've glued pieces of foam to my hands to many times to count, so I feel your pain. ><

How much safer are low-temp glue guns? I have a low-temp one and now I'm almost afraid to use it! eek

Low-temp are MUCH safer. Its actually what I have to use most of hte time, as foam melts at high heats. Much less likely to burn you. It can still burn, but as long as your somewhat careful, it shouldnt be an issue.

That's a relief. I just hope everyone here who burned their fingers found some cold water!
