One of the fanfic writers at www.ramblingsandthoughts.com/twilight/ did bring up an interesting point that I didn't think of, though: didn't Bella hide the trash bag with the stereo in it in her closet? I mean, I guess Edward would have found out about it eventually anyway, but he might've seen the bag while he was hiding in there.
