I have a big ole Raw Power poster on my wall. I've got a poster of Frank Zappa sitting on the toilet at the foot of my bed. From his throne he bids me sleep every night. Sweet guy.
For the Lou Reed, start with the Velvet Underground (skip Squeeze, since it sucks and is the Velvet Underground in name only [no original members]) and move through the 70s up to the 80s and then the 90s and present. It starts really harsh and vulgar and ends very serenely.
