Personality: Grumpy, moody, and a bit of a whiner. He never sees the positive side of anything, and is probably one of the most stubborn creatures you're likely ever to come across.
History: His mother only kept him until she felt he could care for himself, although her view of that point and his view of that point were a bit debatable. Being a bit too young, he scavenged off of other lions and predators when he could get the chance, killing small prey beasts like hares when he got lucky, and often times going without food. It led to a rough life, and he was undersized from his malnutrition. As an adolescent, he wandered into a jungle and got lost. There he met a female that played tricks on him, and terrorized him. She wouldn't show him the way out and he, unfortunately, was committed to staying inside his leafy prison. Being young and foolish, he wound up getting the girl pregnant, and when the cubs arrived he was threatened within an inch of his death by her father. Eventually he fell in love with the female, and they were a happy, albeit awkward family. One day, however, she disappeared and one by one his cubs grew up and wandered away. Driven by the sadness of their loss, he left the jungle behind and began to travel with his father-in-law.
They ended up in the Outlands, a pride harsh and unforgiving at the best of times. His father-in-law settled down with a lioness that Niruzu had no fondness for, but he begrudgingly settled into the new way of life. One day while he was out patrolling the borders between the Outlands and the Pridelands, he found a rather pushy lioness who followed him back home. She was spouting all kinds of nonsense that he couldn't follow, but she stayed within the pride, and commanded she have cubs with him because of some nonsensical 'vision'. He did as he was told, if only to shut her up, and by pride law they were bound as mates. He's a masochist, really.
