She looked over at him sternly put painfully. All her pain had come back and the meds wore off..her stomach hurt badly. "Maybe it hasn't gotten me far..but what would you have done? I'm only 3 years older than you sasuke! I was young as well!! I was only 7!! I had not known how to fight....what was I supposed to do?The last part she asked quietly and she moaned from the pain in her stomach.

Sasuke sighed, "I don't know...I just wish...that it never happened." He gazed out at the sun, "I often wonder what kind of person I'd be if that event never occured...Would I be the same way I am now? Or would I be a completely different...and better...person?"

Nikura rolled over and look ed at him in much pain.....all her meds had worn off. "S-sasuke, p-please get a n-nure to get me sum med...a lot of pain."Her words came out slow but strong.

Sasuke turned and groaned before running out to get a nurse. One was walking towards the room, so he stopped before her and pointed to Nikura's room, "My sister..she's in pain...could you possibly give her some medicine?"
The nurse cocked an eyebrow, but, nodding in understanding, she ran to go get the medicine.

The nurse came in and gave her more meds and a couple shots. She checked her while she was at it and opened the door to let Sasuke back into the room. Nikura was lying there waiting for him.

"Feeling better?" Sasuke sounded nearly impartial, but inside he was still worried about his sister, "I'm just worried about Itachi coming in any minute now. He must be pretty ticked off."

"I'm fine brother..don't worry about him..I have been beaten by him before..it's nothing new.." The nurse motioned Sasuke to come to her outside of Nikura's room.

Sasuke turned to the nurse and, casting one more look at Nikura, turned to walk out the door, "What's going on?" he asked the nurse, leaning back against the wall.

The nurse looked serious. "Well she is doing much better but we cannot let her leave the hospital without someone to care for her..she is bad enough that anything could happen and someone has to be there to help her if it does..do you know someone who could watch over her if we released her?'

Sasuke looked at the door, and then sighed before turning his eyes back to the nurse, "I'll watch over her...She's my sister after all..." His heart sank, was he putting himself in danger as well? Well, it didn't matter...he knew no one else that could help her...and he was the best one to do it.

The nurse moved closer and lowered her voice so no one else could hear. "Are you sure..I mean...the nurses and I..we saw the mark on her neck...and that could contribute greatly to her pain and condition....this could be a big task..."

Sasuke's eyes narrowed, "You doubt me?" He pulled down the collar of his shirt to show his own curse mark and bared his teeth, "I know exactly how she feels. I am the only one that can understand the pain she feels now. I can take care of her, and no nurse is going to tell me otherwise."

The nurse smiled and nodded handing him the release papers to sign. "Good then, sign these and she is free to go with you."

Sasuke nodded, and, signing the papers, handed them back to the nurse, "I'll take care of her...you should tell her though...not sure how well it will go over if I explained."

The nurse took the papers back and walked into the room. "Nikura Uchiha, you are free to go now..your brother here has signed you out...But you are not to go out on your own." The nurse handed Nikura her papers and left.
Nikura looked over at Sasuke. "So I have to go home with you? But why did you say you'd take care of me?"Nikura didn't understand for no one had ever cared if she got sick or died since the clan murder.
