Sheol let out a sigh of relief as the twins bounded up, rushing to see Sirus. "Really?!" Lex queried, practically leaping about in the grass. They could hunt, but they really didn't the concept of silence. Annie kicked at the ground, grinning ear to ear.

He grinned and placed his hands behind their head, leading away from their tired mother. He winked at Sheol and walked near the tall grass, looking around for something that was moving. The twins were cute. They were growing older, more playful and adventerous. It was growing hard for even Sirus to keep up with them.  

[Sheol Zone]

Sheol smiled back at him, taking the chance to walk into the cave on all fours. Since the cubs were out, there was no reason for her to stay out of the cave. She curled up on a pile of hides, relaxing easily.

The cubs went with him, chattering back and forth almost a hundred words per second it seemed. And then silence came. Both were quiet, heads tilted as they stared off into the unmoving grass. Just as quickly as they had become silent, they started up again with the chatter. "What're we gonna do now, huh Sirus?" "Yeah, Sirus! What're we doing?"

((Oh jeez....I missed alot))

She sat near the back of the cave, with her knees drawn to her chest. Her markings now glowed to the point of being able to illluminate most of the cave. She was becoming more reclusive and rarely spoke or moved. Her hair was choppy and had been cut to just below her chin recently. She was beggining to feel like nothing more than an abominatin.

He laughed and patted their head. He had forgotten how hyper the two could get. Stopping them he bent over and looked them in the eyes. As of recent his height was 5'10-11.

"Okay. We must be serious now. For anything that comes in our path be must hunt for our pack. We are hunters now!"  

[Sheol Zone]

"Hunters!" Annie exclaimed, nodding. Lex shushed, suspiciously looking around. "Right! We must provide for our less able bodied pack!" "'Cause old people can't hunt," Annie quipped. Lex whipped his head around to blink at Annie, then they burst into laughter. The giggles only got worse as they tried to make straight faces and stop.

Sheol shifted on the pile to glance towards Sphxie, her eyes reflecting the light. She tilted her head on her paws, watching her quietly.

Sirus nodded solemnly. "Yes, the old can not hunt. You must provide for them,"

Kneeling, he began to stalk towards the grass. He motioned for them to follow him as they made their way through the grass. Sirus popped his head up from the grass every so often to check for some game. In the distance he spotted some movement in the grass.

"Okay, we've spotted our target. Now we must attack. Lex, go around the left; Annie, go right. I will go forward and scare it, I will rely on you two to catch it," he whispered.

Stepping forward he dashed forward to frighten the animal. It turned out to be a small rabbit. It jumped from it spot and began to run.  

[Alektorphobia]

She glanced at Sheol before looking down at her toes that stuck out from her boots. She still looked as young as ever. It was now impossible for her to leave the cave if the moon was out. She was always awake and seemed costantly tired.  

[Sheol Zone]

They followed him, creeping low with their eyes focused on Sirus. At the command, Lex went left and Annie went right. The twins were silent for once, waiting. When the rabbit was startled into movement, Lex started after it. He lunged at it but missed, rolling in the grass with little giggles. Annie leaped over his head, managing to swipe the rabbit's hindfeet with a clawed paw. It stumbled but kept running, both of the cubs on it's tail. Finally, Lex got enough courage to redeem himself and jumped at the rabbit again, his teeth sinking into the fur. Proudly, he rolled to a stop and held the kicking animal in his jaws.

Annie laughed, sitting down in the grass and holding his hind paws. Lex came back to Sirus, jaws squeezing to cut the little creature's life short. "Got it!" Lex announced, dropping the creature into his paws.

The tigress shifted back at the cave, her eyes closing slightly. Poor Sphyxie. And damn the humans. She shifted to rest her head on her paws, already seeming to drift to sleep in the silence.  

[Hokucho]

Hokucho returned for his walk sinju kinda keeping him upright. He suffered a sprained leg a few months ago and couldn't walk exactly right. After the issues at the lab he finnaly officially introduced himself and shown everyone that his adulthood was a ruse, genes in his body could control his height and physical being for some part. He walked into the cave and took a seat leaning against a wall. He was basically a pup, he needed to becared for but hed never asked. Shinju always cared for him.  

[Alektorphobia]

She slowly laid on her side and just stared at the cave wall before her. Not speaking to anyone or making any indication that she knew they were there, she just laid there.  

[Krissim Klaw]

Aeden had become lost in the building when the fire started. All the choking smoke and twisting hallways had confused him and he had been unable to escape. He had kept searching for a way out, but eventually his body had collapsed from lack of oxygen, and he had prepared for his death. It had been then that the man who had captured him had approached. Without even a word, he had grabbed Aeden by his collar and carried him out.

It was from that point that Aeden had begun to change. He lost his overpowering submission for a more aggressive swagger. He also gave into his feral side, becoming more of a wild child. Under Terris's steady hand, he managed to reach the age of thirteen.

Recently however, Terris had released him upon the world. It seemed he was interested in the developments that would occur if Aeden grew up wild in free. It was in this accidental state that Aeden once more happened upon the tree. This time he was well aware of the creatures surrounding it, and would have avoided the area entirely if the tree had not called to him so. Silently he weaved through the golden grass, moving with the stealth of a predator.  

[Rigu Ryu]

Crim and Cresh raced side-by-side through the grass, both of giggling like small children. Suddenly, without warning, Crim pounced him.

"Gotcha!" she said, straddling his midsection and grinning triumphantly. He just rolled his eyes. Crim sighed and got off of him.

"Y'know," he said, "If we ever want to get to Mephi's, we're going to need to actually move. Besides, I want to meet the guy who's captured the attention of my sister's heart."

"Oh, you make it sound like we're romantically involved." She gently elbowed her brother as they began walking. "You're the only one for me and you know it," she said, taking his hand in hers. She was looking forward to seeing Mephi and the others, though. She hadn't seen any of them since the incident at the lab, and was wondering what had happened to them.

After a while, a shape began to form in the distance, and a breeze blew a scent to them.

"We're there!" Crim cried gleefully. She turned to Cresh, whose clear blue eyes gleamed playfully. He said what she was thinking.

"Race ya."

They ran all the way there, laughing as they did so.

I leave for a couple of hours and I see someone saying it's flat and more posts than I can shake a stick at when I come back. For being flat, it's pretty popular. rofl ))

Mephistopheles was up in the tree, laying on his usual branch, his arms and legs dangling around it and his chin lazily propped upon it as well. he was relaxing. over the span of a few short years, his solitude had been torn to pieces and replaced by.. nonsolitude. Heh! He couldn't really think of a better way to describe it. However he wouldn't change it for the world. He spied Sirus and the cubs hunting, and even so Hoku go into the cave, frowning slightly. [He's getting worse.] He thought, wondering just what he could do about it. Him *and* Sphyxie, the poor little glowworm of the pack. Granted the balance of the number of predators had shifted, there still seemed to be enough food to go around, especially with Mephi storing away for emergencies and the rainy season. He knew somewhere inside of him though, it may not always last. Most of the pack could survive on their own now, he didn't worry about it too much... They'd all just have to find somewhere else to live, or go their separate ways. Mephi frowned slightly at that, and continued his thinking.

Think...Think.. Think..

She would fallow Sirus, decideing not to speak. when he commented on her breatheing-she simply stopped. She could do that for hours. She'd fallow quietly, and when they whent off to hunt, she stayed much farther, around twnety feet and directly behind. There was prey, but not enough for her. Never enough. She wouldn't leave Sirus, he'd been so kind,and she simply wouldn't leave him. She'd lay quietly, as if simply decideing to die, and yet, always keeping Sirus in earshot of her. in the years, she'd eaten only scraps, but they where not the full carcases of human being sized cretures. She sighed softly, closeing her eyes and trying despretely not to think of how hungry she was.
