As the air grows thick, summer arrives.Spreading fast in the unevitable heat,
this multiplying destroyer of human meat, with it's sparing few lives.
Darkening limbs, nowhere to begin. An endless row of soldiers,
carrying their weapons and kin, have not the force, to make this endin'
A seriekiller, yet not in prison. The laughter grows silent,
city dissolving into flames, but never really gone,
  in it's neverending reign.

He is eager for war, then, Vence thought to himself. As for the letter and blood crap, he didn't believe it. He could just as easily charm it to stay red if he wanted to. Well, not him, but maybe someone else. Was it really that reliable, or was it possible to fool? He would have to look into that sometime. In the meantime, a direct audiance with the king didn't sound like a bad idea, even if it was allowed so suddenly.

"If I may add, You could use Crabans and my help. Craban here s a drow, so naturally he would know how drow do things. I can assist in tactics combining both warriors and magic users, if needed."

"That is alright your time would be wasted here. We only have a few thousand troops. I sugest you head to one of the larger Human kingdoms." The general said as he turned to lead them into the chambers.

Orla thanked the woman and remained sitting on the floor. She began to wonder how long she would have to remain here. Being in closed quarters would start to make her uneasy before too long.

"Numbers mean nothing to me, but I think I will take your advice." Vence gave a small bow, and follwed after.

Craban looked alarmed and followed after him.
"Destroy the enterances? But you can't possibly know all of them, and have you..uh..even considered all the live sthat would be lost? I'm talking drow here, but the slaves, and the non-drow merchants? If you start randomly exploding enternaces it could screw up the tunnels and cause a cave collapse - whole towns of civilians could be killed, hell it could even affect the dwarven tunnels!"

---

The cleric took a few moments to gather her energy and then went over to Shar.
"May I heal you, sir?" she asked, tentaively.
Shar stared at her for a while and then eventually nodded.

"He has a point there. The moonmaw are a friendly race, and the dwarves would gladly help out kill the drow, I think. We should send in several battalions, I'd say around 50 or more, to shake things up, get help from the dwarves, and rescue as any moonmaw as we can."

(*twitches in the background*)

"Inadvisable." The Advisor interjected quickly. "To send in several batallions directly to the underdark enternace would be suicide. There are miles and miles of land under the ground, and who knows how many soldiers? To head to the underdark would take us directly into Creeping Sleep territory, and even if we suceeded in reaching one of the enterances, they woudl view it as an attack and retaliate."

"They'd certainly see it that way." Craban agreed. it felt wrong to speak of tehd ro was 'they', in many respects he was still on their side...sort of.
To be honest he didn't now what he was doing anymore. He didnt there was ever a point in his life where he did know what he was doing or who he was fighting for.
that thought was somewhat depressing.

"We do not want to start a full out war with an enemy we know next to nothing about."

[lol]

"Crababn knows about the Drow more than anyone no doubt, and if we can get his brother to talk, an even better chance. Spies can go in, no doubt, or if we can contact the moonmaw, they can help us undercover. If all else fails...I could go in myself. It's been a while sinse I've been in major action anyway."

"The Moonmaw are not allowed anywhere near the surface. Usually they're confined to digging new tunnels or mining." Craban said, folding his arms a little awkwardly.
"Plus I don't know how you'll get in, we only let Pales in when they're the property of a drow. And you can't even speak out langua-" He then cut hismlef of and winced, already in anticipation of what was about to be said.

"So we send you and your brother into the Underdark." The advisor said with a satisfied smile. "If you need an escort, you can bring a man as your 'slave'. You can make contact with th dawrves and, if you manage to get into the Underdark itslef, you can scout out the most viable Moonmaw."

he nodded to hismlef. "It sees to prove a wise occupation while we amass our forces. ecently the king and I have ordered for this Fortress City to be filled. we are also attemoting to branch out contacts to the surviving elves, although we haven't heard word form them as of yet. If we recive contact, we are to convene here for diplomatic discussion."

"Sounds good to me," Vence said. He looked at Craban and shrugged. Craban would probably hate the job, and his brother would probably betray them, somehow, and he would most likely work his a** off to complete the disguise. But, if it was for the good of the world, he was game.

"I don't want my brother to accompany us." he insisted. "But...I suppose aside from that...i'm in. If it means that you save lives."

The advisor grinned. "Excellent."

Craban sighed and looked over at Vence.

"Enough the Dwarves have already started to cave in tunnels. They are also helping with the evacuation of the Moonmaw's secretly. All we have to do is destroy the right tunnels Then wiht that We send a peace Letter saying we can keep this up and tell them to revese the Process of the sleep and all is marry." Said the general. "But there are always complications." Kyrun stood there he noticed that the general wouldent let him see his eyes. He reached for his sword. The General quickly hit him hard into the wall. "Your quick, Boy but your not good enough."
"Maybe but you cant hide your smell good enough to fool me. Renten is that your Name?" Kyrun said as he kept him self from chocking.

Craban glared at the general but then soething odd happened. As soon as the genral attacked Craban withdrew his knives and leapt to Kyrun's aid, pushing the alarmed advisor out of the way.
He stood jabbing the tip of the blade into Renten's back, with one at his neck.
"Realease him."

Meanwhile, up in the rafters, Veleth - concelead as a mouse- sighed. He wondered if Renten could do anything right.
PostPosted: Mon Feb 16, 2009 6:39 am
Vence drew his blade and was standing in front of Kyrun before even a second passed. Renten. Wasn't he a good guy? Confused as he was, he did not change his ways. His blade was inches from Renten's arm, the blade beginning to burn red with heat. He as channeling his Fire element into his blade. By now, it could slice through the strongest steel if he wanted it to. Knowing Renten though, with his talent as a rouge, this probably wasn't the real him. He grinned, guessing he had spotted the trick, and raised an elemental sheild around everyone in the room without his knowing.

"Is that really you Renten? I'm shocked you could possibly consider murdering your own friends. What's happened to you, did you become subverted by some evil magic, or something?"

Now everything fell into place. The "general" had come in to bring them in, and telling them they were not needed, and getting them to forget about the underdarks more peaceful races, had all been an attempt at a ruse. An attempt to get rid of them.

"No Vence I just see the wrold diffrently Thats all. Oh by the way raiseing the tempeture a little wont hurt me Ive come preparred for evrey possibility. Includeing your fire tech's." Renten said as, a gust of wind shatered the element sheild. Renten quickly with one hand disarmed Craban twisting his arm behind his back then kicking him into Vence. He then shifted with a black cloud to the middle of the room. "I gave you a chance to leave with your lives. To know that you tried but wernt needed. To die in peace. But I guess not all people want that." He said still holding Kyrun in the air.
"Anyone makes the slightist move ment and Ill kill him and command evrey innocent man, woman, and child kill them selves." Renten said his eyes still covered by the hood.
