I dug this topic out like I dug out the thing that I love



My grandmother's jewellery box. I've had this for ten years and never really thought much of it. Yesterday I decided I could put it to better use than just... holding clip-on earrings and other things I inherited when I was eight.



So I cleaned it out and vaccuumed it. lul

but this was the first time I'd ever emptied the box before. I found a few things in the very bottom that had slipped through the cracks.
a picture of my grandfather sitting looking out over a fantastic view (pretty special since I don't remember him and I've only seen three pictures of him ever.)
an old key (perhaps the answer to a ten year mystery?)
and a receipt from December 8th, 1973.

I know it's sentimental, but I love this jewellery box and I'm glad I could give it new life.
