I think I have some great news for you guys. In Deviantart, I'm in a club for Yugioh Yaoi and they're thinking about giving the unnamed pairings names. So I'm going to take what you all have come up with in this forum and tell them about the names. So maybe they will get passed along.

True, true. I was looking throgh a box of stuff from when I was 14 and came across the dub YGO Ra chant. I had apparently written it down. Who knows why. Anyway, it's such bad writing.

"Transform thyself from orb of light and bring me victory in this fight."

The rhyming cracks me up... and 'thyself'... the entire dub Memory Arc was just one really bad Shakespearean tragedy... minus the hero falling from grace to his doom a second time around.

Which leads me to this conclusion: Dubbers try too hard. That's why dubs suck.

Dubbers voices also don't match what the original sounds like. Pitch, tone, etc. I hate watching subs, then seeing the English dub because I usually only need to hear three voices before I start complaing it's too deep, high, not rough enough, etc.
