Lol, I suppose you could always pick clothing that sorta has coloration like them? There are some examples from last year/others interpretations from art shops.

(only have access to my own soquili readily available though lol)
So really, while these show them being more humanlike, you COULD actually have some fun designing clothing for the soquili you draw to try and fit their personality/theme.
