[EVENT] Hide and seek - Open!

Keeping track of your young was an important thing, moreso to females... And while the little mouse was male, he understood. He'd paired up with more than a few mice of the female persuasion in his year of life, and hoped to pair up with more. The females were much better at taking care of young than the males, or at least it had always seemed to him. He'd always stuck around, but he let the females do the most work. Sure he helped groom the babies and get food for the female, but she did most of the work. The little gray mouse had alot of babies, and he was proud of every one. He didn't know where they were but that was beside the point.

Kalua looked around her. Something was wrong. Then she realized that the reason the leopards were all in a fuss is because the cubs moved. Oh, so that's how it was. Clearly these cubs were not scared. Instead it seemed as if they were playing a game. Taunting the adult leopards. She snorted. How funny.

She paused at a small pool of water, and idly dipped her paw into it. It wasn't drinkable anyways, and the bottoms of her feet could use the soothing sensation of cold water. Mchanga sighed, gaze casting upwards to the sky to make sure that it wasn't growing terribly dark outside. The light was still good, so she was reassured. If it started to get dark, she was sure the cubs would come running home out of fear of being left alone in the middle of the night. But maybe that sort of fear had yet to be learned... Gods, she did not need to be thinking about that right now. She just needed to focus on finding those cubs.

Jazi caught the scent of what he believed to be a little cub in a place where he’d already been before. Could the cubs be walking around and moving to places where they’d looked before? That would make the search all the more difficult! Jazi worried that all their efforts might be going to waste until he remembered that maybe the cubs might be found more quickly if they kept walking around. It was hard to say, really. It was all up to Chance and Jazi, who had never considered himself to be particularly lucky, was strating to hope that the search would end soon.

Anina shivered and sighed when she could finally walk without that much pain. Still, she wanted to keep playing. There was nothing to do at home. Her mom was gone, she had no dad, so she felt like she was taking care of herself and her siblings. She just wanted to be a cub for once...

"That they can be... but we must thank them for our suffering as much as we thank them for our blessings. The good and the bad often times walk the same road. For everything there is a reason." He smirked a little. "Even games the young ones play."

Perhaps it was to remind him to take more time, perhaps he simply needed to be among his own kind once more. Either way, it was nice to have someone to talk to again.

The older male turned his eyes downward and began nosing through the grass. "Troublesome things the young can be though..."  

[Fairy Snails]

Macaria wondered if it would be possible for them to have snuck back to the temple? That would be a cruel joke to play on the leopards. 'Sounds like something I would do. While the leopards are searching, go back to the temple and eat all the food. If that's what the brats did than I will be impressed.'

'I bet you would be.' thought with a sigh. He hoped the cubs were nothing like his dark side. He wasn't sure if he could handle another leopard like him.

Kalua decided it would best if she started all over again. Even searching the spots she searched before. After all, if they moved, they could be in places she previously thought they weren't. Of course, she still couldn't find one. How did they move with all these leopards looking for them?

Stumbling around a little more, Anina blinked as she came across, what looked like, a shiny rock. Moving closer, she realized it was a shiny rock! It was so pretty.. And so out of place. Tilting her head, the cub looked around before she took it in her mouth and smirked. Maybe she'd make a necklace out of it! Then she could be pretty like momma was. She missed her mother.

Caius glanced down at the other male and listened.

"I suppose.." He chewed on that thought as he kept his balance on his branch for a little while before jumping to the next. They had to be some where ... right?

"Cubs ! This is enough. You have us all worried..." Caius yawned. This was tiresome.  

[Neon Fly]

The viper had nearly been stepped on by the time she realized that the jungle terrain she had slithered into was literally crawling with leopards! It looked like they were searching for something by the way they stared at their surroundings so intently, but what, Toshka wasn't entirely sure.

Taking care to avoid being stepped on by stomping paws the snake watched with a head titled by curiosity. Maybe it was some kind of game? Not normally the type to take interest in the affairs of felines, the group was so avid about whatever they were doing she couldn't help but listen in and begin looking around too!

Mchanga stared up a tree, wondering if climbing it would give her a better view of the surrounding area. The brush, however, seemed dense enough below that she doubted being up high would do much to aid her. It would likely just be a waste of her energy and time, which Mchanga was worried that she didn't have much of either to spare. It was an opportunity she passed up, instead favoring looking for the cubs on their own eye level. Sure, she was a lot taller than they would be now, but she wasn't going to crawl on her belly through the jungle looking for them.

The more he searched the more hopeless it seemed to Macaria. Either the cubs did not want to be found, or they weren't even here. Those were the only two reasons he could think of for why they weren't there. He hoped they weren't just trying to waist everyones time.

Kalua came up empty hooved again. She looked up longingly at the trees. If only she could climb them and jump around from branch to branch like the leopards. Then she'd be better help. She seriously thought about it and then shook her head. Nope, it would just be a laugh if she tried to climb a tree.
