Sid the Bear But is it really a victory if I just hand it to you?  And this cause it's cute. But god forbid if I get ants in my house.  One shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth. I was in need of a victory, and you were kind enough as to give me one.  And this because you said something about a bug!

Guess you should just think of it as a Christmas present...  That's a pretty cool bug...ugh, this 'half of space bar not working' is really annoying~~~~

Sid the Bear Guess you should just think of it as a Christmas present... That's a pretty cool bug...ugh, this 'half of space bar not working' is really annoying~~~~ A present..for me?  I must return this niceness...Um..here, you can have this.  Whoa, wait! That's not right. Where did that one even come from? Never mind that, where's the the one I was going to give!?  Aw...I think I lost it...Sorry. You can have this though, if you like.  And this, because it amused me and it might take your mind away from your keyboard.

Sid the Bear Haha, thanks. Food is always appreciated! I'm hoping my computer science friend will help me fix it when he visits during the holidays. I feel like I'm wrecking the key more by having it hit it so often. That's a relief. I don't know what I'd have done if I couldn't replace what I lost.  Here's to hoping. I wish I could help, but alas I'm no computer expert. So here's a kitten to easy your burden while you wait.

Zero the Crimson That's a relief. I don't know what I'd have done if I couldn't replace what I lost. Here's to hoping. I wish I could help, but alas I'm no computer expert. So here's a kitten to easy your burden while you wait. Well, I'll have work to worry about starting Monday for 3 days before I'm off again so that'll take my mind off it. Hopefully, the keyboard at work won't give me grief.

Sid the Bear Well, I'll have work to worry about starting Monday for 3 days before I'm off again so that'll take my mind off it. Hopefully, the keyboard at work won't give me grief. Ah yes, work. Such a blissful thing.  *Please take note of obvious sarcasm*  I would find that comedically ironic.

Zero the Crimson What do you mean? Just a lot of catching up to do on top of the usual deadlines. And I'm covering for my coworker. I managed to get my stuff mostly done (waiting for approvals so I can go ahead and send out the invoices which requires photocopying and scanning and emailing) but the system isn't working properly for my coworker's stuff and it needs to be done by tomorrow, Wednesday at the latest...hopefully, my coworker can work from home and find what's wrong with her stuff this evening.  I'm trying to get my other coworker to help me but she has no experience with the desks I'm covering so I spend more time training her than it would for me to do it myself if I had time (which I don't). It's another added level of frustration cause she doesn't think about what she's doing and when I try to tell her what to do, she freaks out cause she's not getting it and doesn't listen. Jeez, I ended up working a bit late which led to other issues (crowded trains, rushing to get errands done etc) and now I'm just tired out and could really use a pick-me-up but I barely have time in the evenings to chill before I have to go to bed and repeat for the next 2 days.  Guess I'll resort to snacking a lot more to keep my energy levels up if I can some how manage to eat while both hands are busy working the computer.

I ended up working through part of my lunch to get everything out to our producers. I kept getting emails from people asking for their statements and my coworker didn't leave me the contact details so I had to waste time digging for it and hoping that the contacts didn't change since I last covered for her.  I'll be busy tomorrow too but at least I'm back on track to meet all the deadlines.  One more day and then I don't have to give a s***t about any of it. It's my coworker's turn to pick up the slack not to mention it's her own work anyways. Still, I was the last one out of the office, people were leaving around 11am and my manager left at lunch, a little after 12:30 ish. By the time 1pm rolled around and the floor was dead, I said 'screw it' and left.  Glad you liked it...and now I'm free for another week!
