The test run had been long over after a while and now it was time for the real party to begin. It was a shame that Ailene wouldn't be here today because of personal reasons, but he trusted her that she would get them sorted out as soon as possible. Many people had begun dancing to his beats and some even lounged by the bar to enjoy the drinks, though Chester decided that he should steer clear from them because of the massive hangover yesterday. His fingers were pressing the buttons and turning the knobs with such accuracy, like a wizard casting his spells. Out of the corner of his eye, a man and a woman had entered the club, definitely to enjoy the drinks; if it wasn't for his job to stay within his post, he could have greeted. Sadly, music was the one needing all his attention for the entire party.
Luckily, Chester would get another day off tomorrow, so he would definitely recharge through sleep and go through the plans of heading outside. And even to continue on with the talk about his parents about the scooter plan.

Skye glanced at the man and chuckled softly before giving him a risen brow. "Oh? Is that so?" She asked him, smirking a little at the wink he gave her. Heading u to the bar, Skye sat down. The music was a little too loud for her sensitive hearing, but at least the DJ made decent song choices. Skye wasn't sure if she would brave the dance floor though. She wasn't much of a dancer with her skill level falling just above 'Freshman at homecoming' maybe if she had enough drinks she wouldn't care any more, but truthfully she wasn't really looking to get drunk. She had other ideas in mind. Turning towards the bartender, she glanced at the drink options they had and chewed on the inside of her cheek a little. Damn, she didn't know what any of these drink names meant! Well. Here was to picking one and hoping for the best! Looking at the bartender again, Skye rubbed her arm a little. "I'll have a Polar Bear." She said, thinking the name was interesting. She then glanced at her new companion and tilted her head slightly, wondering what he would get.

Once the DJ was done having to carrying that shot glass box, he would have to settle down for a few seconds and then roll down the sleeves of his shirt since their actual length was a touch close to his wrist, and there was a muffle voice calling him out. Orange hues looked only to see the poor bartender having to wear a face mask, mainly because of getting sick but still having to be called out for work because of the place being short-staffed. At the question, he let out a small smile and a wave. "Oh, hey, Hae-jin. Short-staffed days suck, but re-supplying of liquor has come along so you can concoct more drinks. Also, turned out that there was stupid altercation due to those r------ and we need to have the broken stuff replaced ASAP. Animals..." Chester let out a huff; if he would be allowed to, he would like to have a smoke, but that would be bad on his health.
That one aside, there was another concerning question because of the mask that the other had to wear. "Feeling under the weather lately? Also, did you take any medications? Hoping that both of us won't be stuck here for a whole day." If anything, parties would have to be postponed until the problem about those stupid drunkwads would be resolved as much as it could. There would be no complete solution but at least it was better than nothing. Chester crossed his arms over his own chest as he waited for his co-worker's answer.

CHESTER NEON LIGHTS $988
Ah, yes, the trouble of being short-staffed. Hae-Jin was highly familiar with those woes as he had faced them back in his days as a college student. He once tended to convenience stores and during the lunch or dinner hour rush, he was backed with orders upon orders of microwavable food or instant dishes that there was simply too much for him and his three other co-workers to handle. “I could relate. There’s so much to do, yet too little human resources.” He sighed. “At least the new batch of drinks came in. Is that box beside you one of them?” He questioned, hand motioning towards the box beside Chester. Though, the DJ did speak about some altercation that occurred. One Hae-Jin was fortunate to skip out on experiencing. He was sure he was on a day off then…
“Do you want me to check the contents over?” Hae-Jin asked as he motioned about opening up the box. If he can’t do any heavy lifting, may as well offer his help by checking out the packages for them. He sniffed behind his face mask before he rubbed the back of his hand across his cheek. “Yeah, I’ve been feeling so-so.” He shrugged when Chester had showed his concern over his ailing health. “It happens often. I’m not really the healthiest guy ever, though I think my complexion tells you a lot about it.” He stated as he crouched down beside the box. He checked the outer casing first before turning it around to inspect the rest of the sides. It was, at least, properly taped. It didn’t show any signs of struggle during the shipment either. Good.
The inside, however, might tell a different story. “I already took some medicine to keep me alive for a few hours, though yeah. I hope I don’t have to stay the whole day so I can sleep.” It was time to test the strength of his noodle arms. “Do you have a box cutter on you? I’m going to cut this babe open.” He chuckled.

The question about the box induced a small head shake from the petite DJ himself, a way of saying no. "That was earlier before I have to carry this box. Containing shot glasses that were meant to replace the broken ones thanks to those scoundrels. While it was a relief that that the altercation didn't take too far thanks to the bouncers, it was still a bother having to clean all this mess." The sniff, together with the unusual complexion, was a mere indication that Hae-jin was indeed really sick and it would be best to proceed with caution; weather was definitely unpredictable, even at a time like that. At the mention of the box cutter, that was when Chester spoke once again.
"Hold on... it may be somewhere around here," the DJ insinuated as he scanned through the place, more so with the drawers and desk that were the usual hiding spots for sharp instruments. They would be kept locked too to prevent kids from playing them and getting involved in accidents. It took him ten seconds before he was able to get that box cutter that was a bit bigger than the size of his index finger. "I hope this will suffice." he spoke and then headed to the spot where the liquor was usually kept. It was a good thing the warehouse was clean, for a dusty place wouldn't be good for the poor bartender's nose, more so when he was currently sick. One thing was for sure, he would be up for a big surprise.

CHESTER NEON LIGHTS $988
Hae-Jin pressed his lips with distaste when Chester had informed him that the booze had come in through an earlier shipment. Right now, they were just transporting the shot glasses back to the bar. He pouted for a second or two as he stared at the top of the box before he clapped his hands together with a decisive hum. “Booze or not, I’ll check this over so we can all go home earlier.” He declared. Chester had gotten up to look for a box cutter. While the other male was occupied, Hae-Jin observed the box once more before attempting to peel off the packaging tape himself. Alas, his mere nails aren’t sturdy enough to pluck the tape off.
Chester returned with the box cutter. Hae-Jin looked at the small, sharp thing the DJ held before he took it from his co-worker. “That’s fine. I just need to punch the tape open and stuff.” He informed the other before he pressed the sharp edge along the packaging tape and slashed it open with one fluid motion. Hae-Jin made sure to open up the sides too, just to make sure he can pop the top open. He set the box cutter down to the side as he slowly lifted the flaps to reveal…
Shot glasses. Well, he wasn’t really surprised. It was a shot glass shipment after all. Though, Hae-Jin could sure appreciate good quality shot glasses when he sees them. “Gosh, look at these. They’re gorgeous.” He gushed as he picked up one of the shot glasses. It looks like there were some decorated ones among the plain glass types. Some of them were gorgeously frosted over with a bamboo inspired design, that the inner artist in Hae-Jin’s body cried in joy. “I’d sure love to take a shot of gin out of these right now. They’re too gorgeous to pass up.” He chuckled as he lifted it up closer to the light. He spun it around slowly as he appraised it, before handing it over to Chester. “Maaaayyybbbeee I’ll work an hour or two tonight just to take these kids out for a drink or two. Do you wanna drink again tonight?” He asked.

The commentary about the shot glasses was typical, but Chester was happy to know that Hae-jin had found the replacements to suffice the loss brought about by the recent incident. He let out a sigh as he replied to the offer about drinks later tonight. "If anything, parties here may have to be postponed until the troublemakers will be arrested. They had broken some stuff but other than that, there was no major damage. It was a shame that those jerks had run away before the police would apprehend them." It may be possible that they had gone into hiding, but they couldn't stay concealed forever; it would be a matter of time before they would get bad karma for what they had done, for leading Chester and Hae-jin into the mess that they had to clean up. However, it would suck not to have a plan B, so the DJ had to speak up about it, considering that the bartender had a point into testing the new glasses, even if it was just for this rare moment.
"In case the worst may occur, however, we may have to take the casual drinking somewhere else. Probably in one of our houses," the DJ suggested; he would have to take it slow next time or else there would be another hangover like last time. Also, he would have to wait on the news on whether the troublemakers were caught already or not. Knowing their behavior after getting drunk, the time would be short depending on the location of the hiding spot to conceal from the police.

There was not much people inside Neon Lights except for the employees who decided to work there, and considering that Hae-jin may need an extended reprieve thanks to the illness the last time they worked together, Chester would be missing the slight personal touch the Korean boy's concoctions had when he tasted the drinks the first time. But still, that wouldn't stop him; he gestured Esmee to the bar where the drinks would be served, even with the downside of not having food around to compliment well with the drinks. God, he should have brought her to another bar instead with that plan in sight. “Actually, I almost forgot that we don't actually serve food to go well with the drinks and I haven't eaten any lunch yet. But at least I have some finger food in my bag as a snack.” Normally, he would eat lunch at home with whatever he could find in his pantry but since today's shift was an unusual one, he had to improvise. At least it wasn't that bad compared to last time.
With that, he called out to the bartender to serve the recommendations to Esmee, one drink at a time. “It's just a few of the best-sellers for a start but I hope you'll like the taste,” he spoke as he sat down on one of the stools and fetched for a plastic container of homemade potato chips from his bag, flavored with cheese.
