"Cass," Jeremiah called out to her, gesturing her over. "We could use some extra first aid hands! Gather anything you can see that would help and bring it over."
Mostly because, well. At the moment the Burning Man was not the priority and he knew that Cass had some first aid knowledge. At least, enough to help in this situation.
His husband got a look, one that said he would have absolutely not moved him right next to an inferno he had no immunity from, before a sigh escaped. The rush of energy helped but he still had to take a moment before he could help further with Ezra.
A look went to both Eve and Leila, both of them clearly having to process this and it was - in all honesty - a gruesome thing to behold. The smell of burning, albeit now out, was enough to make his stomach turn. Jeremiah was immediately trying to get eyes on Temperance, knowing that she would be able to help with this.
Except that she was already there and on it. Small mercies. Also not the first time in so many minutes that he had been next to her while she worked.

He had done this before, passed Temperance water and bandages while she patched up some creature or another. Only this wasn't a cute, fuzzy otherbeing, this was a young man who had been caught up in Father's pride.
Rabbit had never been a healer, but he was always willing to help.
Glancing around for her bag, he retrieved the items Temp had mentioned and silently pressed them into one of her free hands.

Cass had absolutely no training in first aid of any kind whatsoever.
Still, what she lacked in knowledge, she made up for in resourcefulness and hopefully a quick mind. It took her a minute to look over the room, assessing the situation. There was a flaming man, a severely injured man on the floor, several people on fire, herself, a roomba in her pocket space that she was fairly certain would not be of any help in this situation and.....that was about it as far as obvious things.
"Okay, leaving the bleeding man to uh..." she wasn't going to guess any names. But that meant that she needed to figure out what was useful.
Ultimately, this became anything not actually attached to the floor or broken off of thrown tables and chairs. She moved back and forth across the room, assembling piles of broken off (chair) legs, long pieces of wood that weren't on fire, ripped table cloths, and really anything else, organizing them by material type by Temperance.
"I don't actually know if any of this will help, but if you need something in particular, let me know."
She attracted only keys, after all.

Theo had only a moment for a mental, 'was that the chief of police?' before the guy who had singed his sleeves dropped his skin on the floor.
It was ******** terrifying, and Theo acted accordingly. He yelped, reflexively throwing the domed lid that had covered some of the pastries at the burning nightmare. He then took several large steps away from that mess, as well as the hullabaloo surrounding Ezra's bleeding husk.
Meanwhile, Nasir is just watching all of this and wondering is this the personification of the fire that can be felt on the inside.
He did not move this time, staying where he was and watching in fascination as people helped the young man they'd all been attacking. Part of him wondered if this was why there had been so much pain, that this is what he had felt.
His fingers were closed tightly around Wil's arm now, though with his other hand he was making loose gestures. It would take him longer, his fingers still burned (the flesh felt raw but was unharmed), before he seemed to summon what was a cool fog around the skeleton form of the Burning Man.
Maybe that would help limit the fire that was around him, make it more tolerable ... Maybe it would help Alexis.

Kaleb was still in firefighting mode, and had barely even registered the splitting of the fiery form in two. The flames still burned brightly over Alexis, who fought on as though it were nothing at all...
From a distance, he pulled oxygen away from the burning fire, snuffing more of it out.
That was when Kaleb noticed the group clustering around the injured man. Thankfully their bodies obscured the bulk of his injuries, keeping the blood and wounds safely out of sight. He stepped towards the group, recognizing Temperance once again assuming the role of miracle healer.
"Temperance, if you need more magic, you can draw from me," he said, giving her barely a glance as he spoke, mostly on the lookout for more threatening flames. He might not know how to heal, but thanks to the work with Leila and America, he did know how to lend his power.

They'd done it. Somehow, someway, they'd manage to separate Ezra from the Burning Man. Unfortunately, he looked more than worse for wear. He looked goddamn dead if Jamie was being honest. The way Leila panicked made his stomach twist, though. Why did everything good they tried to do turn out this way?
It upset him. Then it made him angry. Every time something like this happened, Jamie grew more and more done.
In fact, his anger was like a storm cloud, one he imagined manifested over the Burning Man's head. One he also used to strike him with magical lightning.

Lily watched impassively as the boy fell to the ground, leaving the flame behind, but the panicked shrieks were enough to at least give her pause. She hesitated as the boy was dragged away, holding the beginnings of another snowball between her hands. It was curious, what they were attempting to do, but it was nothing Lily could assist with and so it was nothing that held her attention for long.
Focused on the burning silhouette, she threw what snow she had, scattered and malformed as it was. The sooner they could douse this fire, the better.

The heat from the burning man was intense. Snow and water evaporated before it could come anywhere close to him; Jeremiah's fine clothes began to burn from proximity to the shadow of Ezra Fitzpatrick. Alexis's skin began to bubble. Only Jamie's magical lightning seemed to make a dent in the heat, using the warmth to lance through before the cloud disintegrated, evaporated.
"I suppose you think you're clever," said the burning man. It was unclear whom he was addressing.
Maybe he smiled. Maybe he didn't. There certainly was no way to tell. But it was clear that this other-Ezra, this Lord Ezra, was going to do something big... How much time did they have before he began whatever it was?

America lifted the fire off Alexis once again and then turned back to the fight. The building pressure had her gripping the simple pendant around her neck, a thick washer that'd come off of PeachTree, a shadow shield glyph within. It could be used to black an attack, but how well shadow could stand up to fire? Well... The warmth and scent of home that always lingered in the air when America cast magic began to intensify.

"Feelin' a bit crispy," she said to Chester. And it was true - the end of her braid smoldered, just a bit. "Betcha gonna look like a sunburnt lobster when this is settled, guero." Preacher grinned at him. It wasn't that she was so damn certain they would win this, it was that it hadn't occurred to her that they might not. She won or she died, and if she died, well, being dead meant not caring if she lost. It was a good, logical system.
She huffed, shoving a lose tendril of hair behind one ear. "He ********' gonna go supernova, ain't he?" Then she cupped her hands over her mouth. "I ain't clever, but at least I ain't a walkin' tiki torch!" And her hair was loads better than his hot-headed self. Magic... she could do anything, right? Concentrating, she spread her fingers out and magic shot from each fingertip - the cords of it wrapped around his fiery arm and she yanked hard.

She shot Rabbit a small smile. He'd always been so willing to help out with her medical stuff; he'd even tailored her tithing to it though it wasn't his expertise. Temperance had no inclination of calling him 'father' and she doubted he'd like 'uncle', but she could settle for colleague or mentor. "Thanks."
And Kaleb was there, too, offering his magic. She'd seen him do that to America - a neat trick. But she shook her head. "I'm good Kaleb. I saw you pulling fire off people earlier. Can you do that again? More got hit and it was a good idea." If he stayed, she could certainly use him and his power, but she had to triage. Patients couldn't be ignored. A few of her hands moved, began pinching closed the smaller wounds.
HP: 30/30 Roll: Defending Ezra & healing his burnt self
This time the mini-sigil evaporated on his skin, stopping the fire from hitting. Not that he did not feel the heat on him but he was healing that on himself as he was nudging Wil back and trying to move.
"We need to move," he said in a whisper, trying to stand properly but not really able to do so. Nasir was shaking too badly to really get going. "We need to get Alexis, they have to stop, he's going to kill them, he's going-" His voice broke.
If Jeremiah could roll his eyes, he would've. Mostly because he realized that the smolder to his clothing was not his own smolder but that of residual fire from being close to the Burning Man. Except that any rude gestures or comments were cut off as every warning bell went off in his mind.
"Shields," he said quickly, in the process of trying to absorb the fire that was on him, "anything. Defense. Now. If the heat isn't a clue that he's about to do something, I've not felt this sense of danger in a while." There was a frisson along his own skin, icy scales spreading and spreading along his skin.
At least it looked as if they had Ezra stable and Temperance, along with the others, were working on healing him well. A look went to Algie, his hand reaching out briefly to touch him once he was no longer smoldering. His touch, of course, was cold and likely pleasant at the moment with the heat of the room.
His other hand reached for Cassandra a moment, a similar cold shared. Just because this heat? It was likely getting uncomfortable for most present.
