Darksol88 Truth be told, Aden really didn't hear. He was too much in shock from his tactic proving useful. But with that belly flop about to make a rat pancake, maybe he should keep a bit careful. But not without risks; where'd be the fun otherwise? Regardless, he got another ball ready. "Now, Raticate, get out of there! U-Turn!" Calling an attack that was learned no more than ten minutes ago? Probably not the best idea, even if a TM considerably sped up the learning process. But it helped that it played on Raticate's more agile movements, as well as the simple fact that having half a ton about to fall on you was a strong motivator. Leaping to get another hit in, he bounced off Snorlax's falling stomach and started fleeing back to the ball he was usually kept in. But not without making a comment on the way. "(Bye now, nothing to do here!)" He gets off without a hitch as the Snorlax flops down upon floor with no target under it. I gave a hard sigh. Aden was cutting it too close right now. The Raticate's image fades to gray for the moment, expecting another appearance from the Raticate. "Well, apparently you figured out a couple of tricks after all. I certainly hope you can keep up the pace." The Snorlax stood back up, rubbing its stomach once more, not too pleased that it had no luck in flattening a rat.

"I think I'll be able to. Come on, Poliwhirl, get ready!" Aden called, tossing the new ball in hand to swap Poliwhirl in. "I think he'll be good to take over for this."

Darksol88 "I think I'll be able to. Come on, Poliwhirl, get ready!" Aden called, tossing the new ball in hand to swap Poliwhirl in. "I think he'll be good to take over for this." The next panel came on with Poliwhirl's image on the scoreboard. "Go!" The Ref announced. "Well, I remember you..." Whitney said. "Snorlax! Take a breather! Rest!" she shouted. The Snorlax then fell backwards, flopping to the floor, shaking the floor as it done so and promptly fell to sleep. "Ugh, Aden's chance is heading out the window..." I said.

"Augh, it's never that easy..." Aden said, a little exasperated. Just when he thought he had Snorlax on the ropes, it was all about to fall apart. "But if the chance is there... Poliwhirl, it's a risk, but let's take a shot! Belly Drum!"
Even this, he feared, wouldn't be that easy. But with Poliwhirl doing a quick beat on his stomach, pumping himself up to new heights despite hurting himself, it was too late to back down now.

Ryan shook his head. "All that effort, gone with a single nap. I don't know what he plans to get it back." he says.

"If Aden plays this right, that might not matter." I said as I watched the Belly Drum is performed. "Uh-oh. Snorlax! Can you hear me?"
"Snnnnoooorrr..." The Snorlax moaned out from its slumber.
"Ok! Good! Snore!"
Suddenly, the Snorlax unleashed a deep snore which was enough to vibrate the floor and the walls...and me to bend over and cover my ears. "GOD WHAT!?"

"AGH GOD!" Aden put his hands to his ears in a real hurry, an assault he really didn't want. Forget screeches, this was the epitome of evil to one's hearing. "That thing can attack even asleep!?"
Poliwhirl didn't much care for it either, but at least it wasn't the Snorlax's body doing the assault. He was fine despite the vocal assault, hands closer to his eyes to try and drown it out. But given the earlier Belly Drum, it wasn't helping matters.
Once he knew that, Aden decided one thing; he'd rather this thing be awake. At least the assaults wouldn't lead to being deaf. "Poliwhirl, just do something!" He shouted.
His Poliwhirl would do the only thing that came to mind. He ran over to the sleeping Snorlax, jumping onto its stomach before glaring at it. "(I do believe you shouldn't be sleeping during a fight, so please wake up.)" He said to it, before landing one hard slap across Snorlax's face.
Given things, Aden had to cringe. This was either going to be painful for the Snorlax, or a fast way to decide on an eulogy for Poliwhirl.

This was either going to be painful for the Snorlax, or a fast way to decide on an eulogy for Poliwhirl. The slap sprang the Snorlax awake and made it sat up almost as if it had a nightmare. "SNOOOR...!?" It rubbed its eyes then looked at the Poliwhirl before it and now it was angrier than ever. "You really shouldn't have done that." Whitney said. "One does not simply wake up a Snorlax like THAT. Snorlax! Mega Kick!" The Snorlax hopped back up to its feet. "SNOOORRR!" If Raticate was the football, Poliwhirl would probably soon be the soccer ball at this rate.

Poliwhirl would end up rolling off Snorlax as it sat up, quickly getting back to his feet... just in time to see Snorlax moving, no less.
"Don't look at me. That snore was probably heard around the region... Poliwhirl, to the side!" Aden spoke up, trying to avoid a repeat of what happened to Raticate. As his Pokemon jumped to the side, narrowly avoiding the oncoming attack, an idea came to mind.
"Good... now! Soak the floor! Water Gun!"
Once Poliwhirl had his bearings straight again, he complied with a stream of water. Sent along the floor, it quickly spread and made for a rather slick surface. Some of the water found its way in front of Snorlax too, before the stream was stopped.

"Someone best bust out the wet floor signs..." I said. With the plain tempered wooden floor battlefield, the water would make this as slick as could be. Whitney stared in confusion though...she already started to figure what was up with Aden. Apparently not only he was no stranger to status abuse, he plays with the most profound strategies...though that isnt to say they don't work...they might will, as this one does. Whitney was a little afraid to get Snorlax to move and gain momentum by any means. One step could mean one slip.
"So that's your game, huh?" She asked. "Snorlax! Rock Tomb!" she shouted. Aden would once again be reminded the capabilities that Normal types have with all sorts of attacks, once Snorlax stomps on the floor and pillars of rock shoot out of the tempered floor, to encase the Poliwhirl. Something then came to hindsight with her. "Might want to renovate...dirt battlefields tend to be better at times..." she said.

"Poliwhirl, quick, get-"
Too late. Those rocks had a way of moving fast, and while Poliwhirl was lucky to still be standing, he was pretty much stuck now. Whatever Snorlax did next, there wasn't going to be an escape short of switching Poliwhirl out. "Out..."
He had to think. Poliwhirl wasn't going to be able to move, and at best, there was a slick floor. With the right application, maybe slicker... wait, that might do it. "Dirt's better, you say? Mmmm... maybe not, there's better renovations. I'm probably going to get called out for this, but... Poliwhirl! Ice Beam!" He called.
Since going for Snorlax just wasn't going to happen right now, Poliwhirl charged and unleashed a chilling beam against the wet floor. This probably wasn't going to end well.

I was silent, hearing Ryan's comment. I knew Aden was catching hell. In fact, it seemed to be more so now that Aden apparently knows what Whitney is all about from the first go. Aden was pulling a good few stunts at first, but he needs to keep this up somehow. And having the Poliwhirl trapped in stone wasn't helping.
The Poliwhirl blasted the water on the floor, which froze the Snorlax's feet to it. "Snnnorrr...?"
He couldn't move. He was struggling at first...as if his foot was stuck to stubborn bubblegum on the ground. He pulled hard, managed to get one foot free, though that hurt. That may have took some fur off his ginormous foot. The Snorlax started to get agitated once again, tried to pull his other foot off the floor.
"Aden needs to hurry the hell up..."
"Snorlax! Get out of there!"
"LAAAX!" It roared out. This was not kosher.
