Zach hoisted himself onto the platform. He felt connected to Shiya... He realized, with a start, he had accidentally linked their minds fully when he entered her mind. He cursed.

Shiya moved closer to the window in the leafs, "Look..." she said pointing down, from the hight, you could see most of the streets.

Zach sighed. Better to tell her before she figured it out on her own. "Shiya, I fear our minds might have linked after I entered your consciousness." He hoped this wouldn't upset her too much; Otherwise their minds might become permanently entangled.

Shiya smiled, "Linked minds... " she said. "Sounds pretty cool.. " she said smiling. "So if i think something... that means that you could hear me?" she asked, she was still smiling.

Shiya stoped smiling, she looked up at the canopy of leafs and looked thoughtful, " and that would me that if you thought something... i could hear it?" she asked. She peered over at him.

Shiya smiled, "Thats cool..." she said. She looked at him, still smiling.

Zach gulped. He had to protect his mind... Zach sighed. "I honestly don't know how long it will take to untangle our minds, if I can at all..."

Zach sighed again. "It depends on your viewpoint. You can communicate instantly, but that's really the only good point. If one of us dies, the other one either dies as well or goes into a trance-like state forever. And, you can barely hide anything from eachother-Secrets, thoughts... Emotions..." He muttered the last word.

Shiya nodded, "I see.. so it is like on Eragon.. If he died.. so did his dragon.. and he couldnt hide anything from saphira..." she said. She compared alot of things to books. "So if i got hit by a car.. and died.. that means that you would die?" she asked.

Zach shrugged. "It depends on circumstances. If we happened to be talking openly, then yes. If we weren't then I would just go into a coma, or something."

Shiya continued to look up, " That would suck.." she said. She sat up and moved some branches, they revealed a long wide and rather thick peice of wood that was supported by a branch(it is nailed to the branch). It lead to a window. "Follow me.." shiya said, she moved across the board and to the window. she pulled a key out of her pocket and unlocked it. The round glass swung inward, Shiya climbed threw it. She landed on the floor of the attic, which was also her room. It was more of a mini house though. She had a small kitchen slash dinning room. A small room which was her bathroom a living room, and way on the other side, was her bed room and the flight of stairs that lead down to the rest of the house.

Zach followed her, then blushed like mad as he saw it was her room. Forgetting their mind link for a moment, he thought, Why is she bringing me into her room?
