Has anyone noticed that covers of Kate Bush are way better than Kate Bush originals?

I think Marilyn Manson is like that as well.
I truly believe that his version of Sweet Dreams is the best ever done.

Some covers are good some bad. For example I like Velvet Revolver's covers of Surrender and Negative Creep much better than their originals. No particular reason, they just sound more refined.

If were talking cover bands. The ultimate in my opinion is 'Me first and the Gimme Gimmes' Doing punk versions of many great tracks (many you wouldnt think could be done in a punk style)

Those guys were okay for a little while, but after you hear a few of their songs it's just not very exciting anymore. But I do agree with you Manky - Marilyn Manson is awesome at doing covers.

DNA_Guru HIM's cover of Solitary Man kicks arse over Neil Diamond. xp *makes note of song to look for later* While on the subject of covers. I am also a huge Beatles fan and love the entire soundtrack to the movie 'I am Sam'. Its a couple of years old now but there are some great Beatles covers on it, thats all the album is. Probably my fave track on the album is Eddie Vedders version of 'Hide your love away' one of the Beatles earlier songs and I didnt like there early stuff it was too 60's boybandish for me, but not long before and after all the Maharishi stuff happend they became the most influential band ever before self destructing (thanks Yoko stare )

Soft Cells one hit Tainted Love is a cover. Originally sung my Grace Jones. But the best cover of it was done by The Living End.

Marilyn Manson's version is also ok. But Im shocked I thought that tainted love was originally done by Soft Cell, the few songs that I know of Grace Jones are way different I will have to look for her original version to see how it fares.

Yeah. I'm not too hot on their new album though. Some of the songs are alright, but most are fairly meh.
I enjoyed the previous 2 albums much more.
