Personality:
Sir Taliesin Pendragon is noble through and through; he is brave of heart and kind of soul. He is quiet and always listening, he is not shy, he just believes that he can learn more from a soquili by watching them interact with others and how they carry themselves. He grew up hearing stories of the evil in the world, especially the Evil who had the face of his father but a heart as black as tar. This evil temptress had tricked Arthur in getting her with child and now Taliesin’s brother Vortigern wished to destroy the family of his mother’s sister because he was denied what he believed was rightfully his as the oldest child of King Arthur: the Crown. Knowing about the constant threat his brother and aunt posed, Taliesin trained and learned all that he could so he could protect the ones that he loved.
He is the second child of Arthur and Gwenevere. His sister will be Queen in the future when the time comes for Arthur to step down and give up his power. Tali does not care that he is considered the spare of the Kingdom, he uses that ability to do what he wishes. Unlike his sister, the young prince has a freedom to move about the kingdom, learning from whoever is interested in teaching him. It was during one of these escapades from the kingdom that he received word of the Kalona attack. He had some basic knowledge of fighting and medicine, so he thought he would offer his help with the wounded. It was bloody and the foal felt as if he was no longer a foul, but an ancient adult. He saw many soquili die and started to get nightmares of fanged creatures cast in shadows tearing into his throat. The nightmares would continue, but not each night. He would get less and less sleep, until he discovered an herb that allowed him to sleep without dreams.
After the battles, the young prince continued his knight training and went on quests with many types of soquili, learning all that he could about the world and those who resided in it. His skill with herbal remedies grew with each quest as he met more and more medicine soquili who broadened his understanding of herbs and healing treatment. He spent less time at home and grew up without his parents, who were busy training Val to be the next queen. Taliesin missed his parents during those travels, but he loved the adventure and the sense that the journey was leading to something important.
