How long til we can jump?

If we can stall them long enough to fight them off the last few moments before jumping, we can do this.

I clearly said they will cut us off long before we can jump.
They are on an intercept course with us and are going to be within combat range VERY soon.

So it'll turn into a fight with or without the sweet talking. One keeps the fire-flinging to a low at least for a bit.

Once I’ve buckled in I’d like to raise Battle meditation and give the crew a +1 insight bonus to attack rolls,
And yes, I’ll spend a force point to do it.

And just because they're intercepting us doesn't mean we can't maneuver around the interception point once we hit contact. As long as they don't open fire and we can continue to maneuver around, they can't block the routes forever. It's basically no different than dodging blows until an opening occurs in the defense to make an attack, be it fleeing or opening fire.

They're using a YT configured as a commerce raider, which means they'll probably be able to outmaneuver and outrun us... Sitting directly in front of us prevents us from jumping and they can do that pretty easily.

Let em board us, or we can attempt to fight em off...

Considering how our characters are skilled we'd be better off letting em board us, we're not skilled in starship combat, at least not yet.

*shrug* I don't see anything which says in the mechanics that it's vastly different.

If you're really desperate, say you're fleeing from imperials and hope that they get scared of being caught by an ISD.

I think he wants to fake ramming into it, with the slightest bit of intention. Scare them off by showing how truly insane we are.
