[EVENT] Hide and seek - Open!

The little mouse sighed, finding a minute or two's contentment and safety behind the rock. But he knew he couldn't and wouldn't stay there for long. It wasn't safe to be out in the open with so many big cats running around. Even if they weren't hunting, a little morsel like him would look awfully tempting to any number of the animals prowling around. It was best for him to be cautious...

Looking at the rock, she pushed it this way and that before looking around. What could she use to tie around it? Vines? They would break so easy... Maybe someone else had that stuff humans used to tie things to other things. She couldn't remember what it was off the top of her head, but whatever. She would ask one of her siblings!

She squeezed underneath a branch, opting for that over jumping clear of the low-hanging branch. The jungle was difficult to navigate, and Mchanga did not want to get herself tripped up. While she wanted to help, she did not want to do so at the expense of her own being. So, her search was careful and slow, searching underneath, around, and behind every possibility before moving onto the next spot. She wasn't looking underneath boulders, but she was doing almost everything but that.

Finally stumbling away from the area she was in, she came across some more big rocks. She decided climbing them would be easy. Keeping the rock in her mouth, Anina scrambled upon the first rock she found and looked around before jumping to another one. "Hmm.."

Maybe it would be better if she went to the middle and tried to search from a stationary position instead of always moving around. If the trees had eyes, the cubs would have probably been found by now. She sat down and looked and looked. No sign of cubs. She saw a lot of adult leopards but no cubs.

He snorted again and flicked his long tail behind him. A part of him doubted that all the shouting was helping. If anything it would clue the youngsters into the adults looking for them. If this was some sort of game they were playing then they'd know exactly who to avoid and where to avoid them.

"Try the tree over. That one has a nice fork to it."

Finding a gem in a pile of rocks would be easier than this. "Excuse me, cubs, this is your friend Macaria. I know we haven't actually met, but I'm getting a bit worried about you. Will you do us all a favor and come out please." He called looking around for any movements in the grass. As he expected there was no answer.

Rubbing her face with a paw, she jumped to another rock and nearly slipped off. Gasping, she scrambled and scraped her claws on the rock, securing her spot at the top with a pant. Stupid rocks. Stupid balance. Stupid everything! She was getting so fed up.

Caius gave a nod to the leopard and pounced to the other tree. His claws dug deep in the branch and helped him keep his balance when he landed. Though however great the idea was there still was no sign of cubs.

"Hey ! What about that rock down there?" Caius pointed a paw down to it.

Somewhere in the distance she heard one of the leopards shout about cubs and the pieces began to fall together for the not so whip-smart reptile. They were looking for leopard cubs that had decided to hide? Or maybe they were lost? Either way now that she knew what she was looking for Toshka began to search more intently. Weaving behind the other leopards and searching in the lowest spaces where they might not have been able to notice given that their eyes were much farther above her own. She was closer to cub height than they were and far more likely to notice one in hiding.

Or so Toshka thought.

Jumping to the next rock, she finally got to the edge and climbed up a short hill to the highest she'd been today. Looking around, she spotted some leopards not that far off and grinned. Spitting out the rock, she looked down at them. "Hello! Hi! Hiiii!"

No sign here...and no scent of them either. Rashad's nose creased as he stepped back and threw a look upwards. His companion pointed out a nearby rock. Blinking, the older male slank over towards the stone and slowly peeked around the other side of it.

"Hm..."

Kalua was starting to get upset at her inability to find them. If she was upset, she could only imagine how the leopards must feel. If it were her piglets, she'd probably be in tears trying to find them. She even felt like maybe she should pair up with a leopard to look for them. That idea made her snort. Bad idea indeed. A leopard and a boar, she had a hard time even imagining that.

'Hm. These cubs might actually be worse than me. I may be more violent, but even I wouldn't take away this much attention from the pride. Though I guess we really don't like attention much.' His dark side thought.

'No one can be as you.' he thought back to his dark side. He limped over to some grass and sniffed it so if maybe the cubs had been there. Nothing spelt out of the ordinary though.

Well, it seemed they couldn't hear her! Laughing, she grabbed the rock up again and made her way down there, biting her lip when she was a good distance away, but able to talk to them. "Hi! You're the first ones I've seen today!" She spat out the rock before she started talking, grinning a bit. "I'm Anina!"
