As the awkward moment loomed in the hospital room, I finally got to reaching Freth.
"Hey there."
".............."
"Yea, in Goldenrod. Took longer than we thought, but we're on the way out here in a short bit. Just waiting on Aden's Pokemon to get checked out. Be good to see you again."
"................"
"Well, its been a long week." I said. "We've had...a pretty...event filled week...or...I should probably say Aden have." I said. "Long story." I said.
"..............."
"Try cosmic plaything..." I then said. I had to pull my head away from the phone. Freth laughed too loud.

"...You can talk." Aden finally said after a bit.
Geodude nodded.
"Then why didn't you say anything before?"
"(I had nothing to talk about.)"
Nidorino and Flaaffy were still too stunned to say anything.
"Um. Okay then. I'll talk more after the rest come to."
Opting to recall the three for now, he thought about contacting either his dad or his sister. He also decided against it just as fast, knowing he'd be hearing something from Ceramew regardless and would really rather delay that until he was well in Ecruteak.

"Yea well...we'll be leaving out shortly. Aden should be getting his Pokemon back at any time."

"Oh...its been...up and down for him through the gym run. We would have been that way sooner but Whitney showed Aden her cow."

"Freth, you don't need to yell, I can hear you just fine...ow..." I said after pulling the phone from my head again.
"................"
"Oh, right now, believe it or not, he's got a full team of six, all of which he captured on his own, and even managed to evolve a couple."
"......."
"Well, that Nidoran? Its a Nidorino now, just recently evolved before his 2nd round against Whitney. Then a Mareep he picked up just south of Violet City, that's actually a Flaffy now."
"............"
"Yea, I already told him about that one. And at the rate he's going, it'd be just about inevitable." I said to her. "He's going to have to learn how to keep them balanced out."
"..........."
"Thats something not even I can teach to him, sadly. Um, while Im thinking about it, how's Tails?"
"........."
"Crap. I figured that was the case. I got to be sure to talk to him later. I miss the kid too..." I said.
"............."
"Yea, well, I'll deal with that when I get there. Which speaking of, let me let you go. I'll see you later. Probably sometime tonight." I said. "Later." With that, I hung up the phone.

Ryan had made it to the National Park and was sitting on a bench near the east exit that lead towards both Violet City and Ecruteak City. Ryan was leaning forward, hands held together with fingers interlaced, elbows on his thighs so his hands would act as a resting point for his chin. He had closed his eyes and was in thought.

After finishing with the phone, I made my way off towards the back to go check up on Aden and his Pokemon. It was a hectic fight between he and Whitney; that much went without saying. I just wanted to be sure everything was alright.

By the time Blizzard would get back in the room Aden was in, he was talking to the remaining three of his Pokemon. They had finally come to, though as far as their condition went, it was probably safe to say further battles with them were out for the day.
Not that this stopped Scyther from commenting about being humbled again. It was a flash realization, but seeing Whitney's Miltank showed him how far out of his league he really was. Even if he squeaked by in a way.
"...See, that was the kind of stuff I was referring to, Scyther. The best I can do with any of you is figure out your strengths, how you want to fight, and go from there. But with how you three did, I'm a lot more confident about what's ahead. For now, though, rest. You've all earned it." He said, before turning and noticing Blizzard. "Oh. How long were you standing there?"

"Hopefully Miles will be there so I can talk to him for a bit; see where we stand in going to Hyda...that is, providing that I do see him. According to Freth, he's been in and out a lot for some profound reason. Anyways, she, if anyone, will be waiting on us."

"Aden, you're not holding anyone back. I knew what I was doing when I decided to follow you along with this, and it seems that it may have been for the better; I mean, look at you Aden. Getting stronger for one, your Pokemon battling skills are getting better for that matter, and speaking of, you already got yourself a full party." I said. "You're not doing half bad at all, really, with all considered. Could use a few less appearances from Eusine, but I digress." I said to him. "So you worry about your gym run, I'll worry about if I need to head anywhere on my own or not, alright? Besides, I'm enjoying the peace a bit as is anyhow, now that we are not dealing with any of the rangers."
