Nelowulf
Darkened Angel
Nihilus's own power of will. Right?

Correct.

Now who is the most powerful being on the station?

Ferno.

Time to connect the dots.

If the crystal responds only to the light side of the force, and Ferno is the strongest being on the station, and the crystal is unalbe to handle the power but yet not breaks, what is the one thing which must be linking these together?

Ferno's conenction to the light side?
PostPosted: Mon Apr 09, 2007 6:58 pm

Correct.

More specifically, Ferno's use of the light side to do such a thing. See? Once I give you the info, then its pretty simple to make sense.

Now, here comes part two.

What happens in KotOR when a person uses a force power of the opposing faction? He uses more energy. This is a fault in Ferno's case. Instead, the problem is he's untrained in the use of the light side. Meaning he spends far more energy than he should to do a simple task.

Well, that and the light side takes away his strongest aspect, his willpower.

As we see, he's using a bunch of energy to focus on making sure that battleground of yours isn't going to be destroyed. Why? Ah, now isn't that the question. Even Ferno, in all his wisdom, is erronious.

He ultimately wished to transfer his powers to Link; problem was, you just can't do that. Only one device in history has been able to suck and give the force, the staff of Ragnos.

If you take into account these facts, that Ferno wants to transfer his power to link, the staff of ragnos, and of course the energy holding everything together, what does that make project coldspear?

Still not getting it.
A Giant Lightsaber?
An amplifier so he stans a better chance of transfering his soul into Link because He wants to use Link's body as his new one in order to prolong his life?
A Force Battery?

Ferno's an Anzat. He's got more years left in him than link could possibly hope for without a 600 year cyrogenic freeze.

No! Ferno's recreating the staff of Ragnos! Except he's not Ragnos, so he's got to make do with what he does know.

Yes, it was a scheme to palpantinish to be real, but with the Darkside as it is, How'd I know thats not it?
And I still dont know why he wants to transfer his power into Link...
Unless thats not it at all and he wants to make Link aforementioned scepter....

His plan is not to die.

Yet lose to link. He funnels power into the crystal to pump into link, and feign death. Due to the energy, it'll be like a generator, for Link to destroy what Ferno needs destroyed.

While his body is incapacitated, HM (who remember acts as a holocron) uses his programing to guide link through the sith, and destroy Krayt, Cade willing or not.

Ferno's committed to Order even more to Krayt, but more specifically the balance. Krayt's condition makes him unstable, and therefore a liability. Link therefore is Ferno's weapon to destroy Krayt if Cade should fail.

While Ferno's kept in Bacta, he keeps tabs on the events of the world. Moving on, when Link is finished, Ferno will sever the connection of the crystal, reabsorbing all the power, and then slinking into exile again.

That Wanker...

Now comes the really cheezy reason which reminds you of an RPG.

Ferno would do it himself, but he's kinda morally opposed to stabbing his boss in the back.

No, it makes sense in another way.
Ferno doesnt want the attention killing his Boss would bring down on his head, not just from other Sith, but from the Jedi who would see him as the next uber villain to kill.

I'm simply telling Ferno's motivation in accordance to the line of thought.

Now the last part.

What's the fault in his plan?

What's the fault in his plan?

The unpredictability of free will?

Partially, and the fact it assumes that the force works that way. Problem is, Ferno really never talked with Ragnos. He doesn't have a clue what he's doing in reality, only in theory.

Murphy's law.
