”Once an heir, now a leader. I only hope I can do as well as my father wanted...”
Ammar raced through the forest, his heart pounding in his chest. Ever since his father passed away, the centaur had been busy taking up responsibilities and learning new things. He had never really gotten a chance to go off to do whatever he wanted. There had been far too much work to do, so many things to plan. Now, with everything done and in order, the new ruler was free to go and explore, as he had in his youth.
Jumping over roots and rocks in his path, his hooves pounded the earth, shaking it and awakening the trees to his return. He whooped as he leaped over a fallen log, his hooves thundering through the trees. Ammar slowed down, coming to a stop as he panted. The trees whispered to him, telling him, all at once, of the things he missed. His naked chest glistened when the sun hit it just right.

”Once an heir, now a leader. I only hope I can do as well as my father wanted...”
"Then you shall live a very sad life, indeed," Ammar's hooves impressed upon the soft earth as he spoke, "You must finish what you started, and hope fate is on your side," the centaur approached the boy slowly, his muscles rippling as he held his hand out to the wizard, "Face your fear and be free of it. You shall learn much from this lesson, if knowledge is your ultimate goal, wizard,"

”Once an heir, now a leader. I only hope I can do as well as my father wanted...”
Ammar turned to face his companions. How was it that they were able to keep up with him? To know exactly where he would be? The centaur wasn't sure whether he was happy to see his two best friends, or angered that they had deliberately followed him this far. They were his advisers, but he had raced off to put his duties behind him. Ammar glanced down at the wizard, realizing that his duties as the leader of the centaur tribe found him instead, both with this wizard boy as well as with his companions.
The centaur tensed his muscles as he thought of the current situation, realizing how muscular he was compared to Naaki and Nyurion. Ammar was literally built to take down the dangers of the forest, with or without his arrows. At one point, his father had him take down a troll. That was definitely a show of strength for the younger Ammar. He was slow to respond to his friends, "I suppose the only thing we can do, at this point, is return him to his people,"
Ammar, who was not as sensitive to smells as his advisors, did not catch the faint scent of death underlying within the boy's scent of fear. He, instead, felt sorry for the boy, who looked as though he would jump at the sight of an unicorn. Perhaps it was seeing the boy in this state that cooled the centaur's frustration of being followed, "He can not stay here. Lest something else catches scent of him," the leader, pawed the ground, looking around at the forest, listening to the trees for any news of approaching dangers.
