I suppose that is true but hollywood would do what hollywood does. But I never really pay that much attention to Hermione.

I looked at the pics of the movie, and the way they do Luna Lovegood in Order of the Pheonix is all wrong. That girl had better be able to act like one hell of a socially enept ditz because she shure doesn't look like one.

Yes, Luna Lovegood. She looks al ittle too preppy to pull off the girls that ran around campus in a giant lion head.

a giant roaring lionhead.

and I am going to edit the post so it looks like I didn't forget her name. That way I seem smarter.

I hope she's good. Luna is one of my favorite random characters. 3nodding
Have you pre-ordered the new book yet?
PostPosted: Tue Jan 16, 2007 3:41 pm
no. But I am seeeeeeriously concidering it.
It is just that new books cost more than I can justify to spend on entertainment, especially since it is entertainment by my self entertainment instead of socialising entertainment (spend more than that on socialising a lot)

I always preordered mine from Media Play...I guess I'll have to go to Amazon this time. It was always cheaper there, though. I would just wait. But I know me a willpower. I'd be stealing every copy I could find, trying to read a few pages before the owner got back.

I always used to pre order mine from Media play too, and take my little cousins to the midnight release parties.

I learned to knit so I could knit them "Real Harry Potter" scarves

Hopefully my gf will be going with us this year rather then her friends. mad D Though since her best friend is moving to idaho... probably will be coming with us. 3nodding I need to make her Hufflepuff scarf...

I know in the US and Britain, its common for places to have parties on the ngiht before its released. Then, when the clock strikes midnight, they start handing out pre-ordered books in the order people got there. (the Barnes and Noble near me actually does printed wrist bands for this purpose). These typically have costume contests and games and massive fans running around like goof balls. xd

It's funny, but I know a lot of people who learned who to knit solely to make Harry Potter scarves xd

And all kinds of other things too. Last year we had people playing wizards chess, a couple of old 'wiches and wizards' reading to the young ones, the littles made wands, and the starbucks inside sold 'pumpkin juice lattes' (pumpkin spice lattes) out of season. We had trivia contests, and all kinds of fun things.

We use our knitting machine to make house scarves, though i want to make my girlfriends out of a really fine yarn, which means i might have to do it by hand.

The worst thing is... I gave up knitting after my first 2 HP scarves and went back to solely crocheting.

Why did I get back into knitting? (and stay this time)

Jayne Cobb hats.

I am such a geek, it's painfull.

I haven't pre-ordered, but only because I know my grandpa will buy it for me, because he always gets us a copy of it for whoever's birthday is closest.

I love free harry potter. heart

On a completely different topic.. where is this week's show and tell? I finally got around to stealing my machine back from my mom and finished quite a lovely book cover I want to show off. Lol.
