Nelowulf FrozenPhoenix32 jegan1014 exactly how long did it take to build the death star? stare exclaim We dont rrally know. We saw it partly constructed in Ep.3 and it was done 19 years later, so... 20-25 years? Yet the second, larger, more powerful one was built in 6.... What do the books say?
Not even partly constructed in episode 3, it's just the outline of it. But yeah, that's a pretty good estimate, but i'd cut it down a little bit more to probably the range of 20-22.
....Nelowulf.....
Is it harder to build computers in the 60's or in 2005?
It's called Technological advances. And it wasn't even fully built.

Inatarin Lord Zell Does anyone know what species yoda is? I don't think it was ever declared. Um...I don't know if anyone answered this yet....but... There is no sure-say as to what it is. But I think it's a "Whill" In the making of ROTS, on one of the pages, GL glimpses at how the whole 6 movies are being told by R2D2 to a species called the Whills. Qui-Gonn learned how to do his magic thinger from a Marksman of the Whills. The Whills are the "history-keepers" of the universe...if you look for the info, REALLY hard, you'll find it. But...I like to pretend he's a Whills...it makes sense in an odd way. ninja
actually. GL has said that Yoda is Not a Whill.

But GL Also said that NONE of the Star Wars movies would make any money at the time of their releases. He also said he wouldn't go back and do the prequals, he also said he wouldn't make ESB at that time..... He says a crapload of stuff. I don't take his word too seriously anymore, if you don't mind me saying, sir.
I'm sorry, but, GL goes back and on about what is oppinion is. lol.

Maybe the Death Star seen at the end of RotS is the prototype used in the Jedi Academy Trilogy?

Nelowulf Who knows. Still, it pisses me off that they didn't give Tarkin his due. He was the one who pretty much made the Death Star possible. Or at least, he claims to, along with some of my SW books. And figuring that Tarkin would not be a Grand Moff yet, since the Empire is just brand new, they smudged the history. And technological advances or not, it doesn't make that much of a difference. The technology was already there, except maybe the superlaser. everything else is pretty much like the other giant balls. I wish I could remember the name of that one station... Hosk Station, i think? Its one that R2 and 3P0 were on in one of their earlier adventures, so building a ball of doom doesn't seem to be that much difference. Damn my lack of ability to even check a simple Guide to Vehicles.
The technological advance idea, along with the computer manufacturing example.... Those are the examples all spread around www.starwars.com
