Ryan makes his way to the Burned Tower Ruins. It was still daylight, so he had no problem going there. besides, he needed to get the words of that annoying snaggletoothed girl out of his head. He hadn't told her why he didn't pursue the championships right after earning the badges of each region.
And despite what she said, becoming champion in the Orange Islands took more than pure battling skill. It tested many other things in the journey. trust. bonds. Each stop in the islands was a challenge equal to any here on the mainland.
Ryan finds a nice tree to relax under. He lets out a gusty sigh. Even if he had explained to her why he hadn't gone on to challenge the leagues when he first had the opportunity, he doubted that she would either believe him or call it an excuse. But then again, she probably didn't have any siblings growing up, considering her attitude.
Ryan slips into his old calming trigger, what he used to do when he needed to gain focus: closing his eyes and reciting the full Jhoto pokedex, forwards and back.

"You mean you still had words for him, but that discovery left you stunned. I do hope you realize he's grown up a lot more than you realize."
"I just wanna make sure he's still safe is all. What's wrong with that?"
"Safe. Ceramew, do you think I remained here in the name of his safety? I've been hoping you'd figure it out, but he's not the small child that looked to you for comfort just as much as he would me anymore. He's also not the one that was left in less than desirable conditions, a fault that's mine just as it is yours. He's started to think for himself, make his own decisions, shown that he's grown a lot in the last year or so than he has in most of his life. You or I could easily go with him from this point, but really? That's a role better suited to his mentor and Ryan. Doting on him was not what I asked for those years ago; what I asked for was you to be that big sister when he needed it."
Ceramew... was left a bit silent at that one.

Well, at least all is well as far as these two are concerned, apart from Ceramew's mind suddenly going blue screen'd. "I think my job is done here." I said, taking a sip of Coke then walking off for my room once again. I had to hand it to the Ho-oh hybrid, to be all honest, though. For him to come to terms with that over the past few months at least? I'm a bit impressed.

Ceramew stayed still for a good while, still unsure of what just happened. While it wasn't unusual for Sol to speak up like that, she felt like she was hearing Blizzard for a second. When she finally recovered enough to do something other than leave her mouth agape, she slowly started back outside. "I... need a few..."
After seeing her leave, Sol shrugged. "Sometimes, I still wonder which one's the older sibling." He commented to himself, staying put.
Aden would be a bit more time before he finally came out, the newer outfit on. Seeing his old man nearby, he stopped beside him.
"So how much did sis say?"
"Surprised you've filled out nicely, still needs to grow up herself and realize she doesn't need to be tagging along wherever you go."
"She started up again, didn't she?"
"And got an earful, yes."
"From Blizz?"
"From me."
"She took off afterward?"
"Yep."
"Eh, she'll get over it." Aden shrugged.
"In any case. Would you like to explain some of your goings on? Based on what you told your sister, you've been through a bit."
"More than you think, dad..."

"Well, I think things are going to be a little more interesting for the rest of Aden's trip." I said to Freth as I made my way into the bedroom then hopped back into the bed next to her.
"Oh? How so?"
"Ceramew just got told."
"About time someone did. I don't think using her own Tyrannitar against her was doing the job."
"I'm left to wonder how did that happen."
"Even Pokemon have standards." Freth said.
"True."

While Aden was busy explaining a metric ton of different occurrences to Sol, Ceramew had gotten outside, hearing Ryan spouting off various Pokemon names.
Stopping near that tree, she tilted her head. "There any reason you're reciting Pokemon like letters from an alphabet?" She asked.

"It's something that helps calm me down and restores my focus. " he explains. "And why are you so far from the mansion? did Aden do or say something?" Ryan then asks of her.

I just wish his ability to attract trouble would fade. Cause that boy, he just doesn't attract normal trouble, he attracts the most bizarre and out of the world trouble." Ryan says with a chuckle as he shakes his head.

It's like when he was born, he took daddy's magnetism for trouble and made magnified it to new heights. I'm still convinced that's how that huge Pokemon showed up in Pyrite Town and all this stuff started." By now, Ceramew twitched. Great, Aden was still finding the oddest stuff around, and with more frequency.

"I've lived with daddy and Aden, then there's all the stuff that's happened around both of them alongside the group, and since daddy was the one who found me when I was a baby with no sign of any parents, if there were any to begin with, you can say I was pulled in by that same magnet. I didn't avoid it, it seeked me out early on."
