I'm seriously very sorry you've lost respect for me.
I think age is but a number. As long as you can be responsible about it, then I don't know what the big deal is.
I would have to agree with you, I'm 20 and have a 3.3 gpa and am seriously trying to make a life for myself.
I'm not trying to single Mark out though, I just wanted y'all to see that there are people who do these things and know where their priorities lie. I respect his ideals, I'm not trying to undermine him, y'know?
No, I agree.
I just don't think it's fair that if you want a drink when under the age of 21, you're automatically out of control, but when you're 40 and an alcoholic, that's perfectly okay because the instant you turn 21 it's completely legal to get piss drunk every night and act as awful as you like.
Same with certain drugs.

Yeah, yeah, I know people can be very successful and all that. It's mostly friends; people that are close to me. Because most of them can't keep up their grades and I'm seeing their lives slowly slip away and I can't do anything about it. |

Here's the thing, though: Just because you're still smart doesn't mean I have respect for you. There are plenty of smart kids that I don't respect. Shoving your GPA's and academic achievements at me isn't going to change anything. |
