I got into Kenshin about two years ago through Cartoon Network. After they stopped airing it when they finished the Kyoto Arc I went out and bought all 22 dvds so I could see it in all it's glory lol sweatdrop I own the Trust and Betrayal OVA but I refuse to buy the Seisouhen OVA cause I already know what happens at the end... crying I own volumes 1-18 of the manga so far, and I can't wait to get more into the Jinchuu arc. I'm also a big fan of the music from the series so I ended up buying all four OSTs from the anime series. I'm pretty bad about spending my money on Kenshin stuff.
Kenshin is my favorite character followed by Saitou and then Misao. My favorite arc is the Kyoto arc. Some of my favorite episodes are episodes 28-30 (Kenshin and Saitou's fight), episode 34 (Misao's introduction), and even though it's a filler episode, episode 78 (the painter episode) lol
Well, I think I rambled a little bit too much here so I'm gonna end it here lol Glad to be a part of the guild though so I can share my love of this series with other fans.

Why Rk: It made me fall in love with anime heart I started drawing anime since then, I think it was in 2002 when it showed on Cartoon network LA as Samurai X...

hello all,
feel free to call me duello, i am a renasaunce enthusiast and a writer/poet. lets see, i have studied combat not in an organized manner as most martiol artists do, but rather sparadicly, learning from every soarce i could get my hands on. i'v observed far too many blackbelt martial artists who know nothing about real combat, or worse, knew nothing even about their own branch of martiol arts. individuals who were rushed through the lessons and belts as fast as their masters could teach them and rake in the class payments. this i consider a disgrace. i have more respect for those who are self taught, or who are self styled because those who must develop their own techneques and styles usualy understand them better and understadn the limitations of their knowlage. now befor someone jumps on this and starts roaring about their vigerous training, i'd like to state that my best friend is a first degree blackbelt, working on his instructor belt in karate. likewise i know the current top tae-chi practitioner in the US. i do respect those who genuinly work for thier knowlage and who honestly earn their rank. however i am finding that such people are far and inbetween.
on to other subjects, sort of. i enjoy writing, performing in live theater, and music of almost all kinds. my favorit kinds are rock, celtic, and country. i enjoy fantasy books the most but i will read almost anything but a strict romance novel.
one hobby of mine is that i make and sell chainmail (the incorect but accepted name for armor made from small rings.)
i first encountered kenshin about 4 years ago, i was board and channel surfing, it happened to be the first episode of the season. i watched it and was hooked. within a week i had several friends watching. i have also watched both T&B and Reflections. however i didnt care for reflections as much.

WOW! 3 new members! Welcome Valora! I also love Misao, she's my favorite right after Kenshin. I can't believe that painter wanted Kaoru for his inspiration rather than Misao. What was he thinking?
