"Blizz taught me a lot of what I first learned," Tails said. "Using attacks, learning to resist. Stuff normal hybrids should know. Miles taught me about the trigrams. And how to read."

There was a shaking beneath the water. Tails opened one eye, but he assumed a small portion of rock had collapsed deep beneath him. It was a common enough occurrence, to his experience.

"What was that?" Tristen asked, looking down at the water. He was feeling too good for it to be ruined now.

Sol didn't stick around the area tonight. After everything that had happened, he opted to keep to himself. He felt he needed to do a bit of thinking, especially after that Dragonite. Maybe he should look for it... but he doubted it'd be wise. That thing was probably screwed up beyond belief, in more ways than he'd care to know.

Ceramew, on the other hand, found herself not too far from Blizzard when she started going through. Seeing him, she felt she might want to say something. "Um... Blizz? I wanted to apologize for how I got back there." She said.

"Probably a vein settling. They do that," Tails answered. "That's why you shouldn't let yourself drift into them. That, and they can lead to dead-ends."

It rumbled again, enough so that a pebble fell from the wall into the spring. Tails didn't worry.

"Oh." He said, shifting a bit. He didn't want to get mixed up in that. "Um. Tails? Thank you." He said to him.

"Huh, what?" I spoke up, lifting my head off the table. "Oh. Don't worry about it Ceramew." I said, putting my head back down.

"Thank you?" Tails asked, raising his head from the water. This was sudden.

"You helped me a lot ever since you got me out of the tribe." He said, looking down at the water again. "Blizz did too and all, but you've been taking me places and stuff that I didn't think were there. Tribe kind of cuts you out of a lot." He said.

"It's still not good for me to whine like that, or almost lose myself in all that rage... something's wrong, isn't it?" She asked. Seeing Blizzard keeping his head down, she figured something was up.

Tails grinned. "Well yeah. I do a lot of exploring. You'll see a looooot more before I run out of things to do."

A pause, then he sat up in the spring. "The pig should be done by now. Why don't you come up here to lay down while I go get it? I don't want you to be a roast when I come back."

"Eh, just a realization I had towards the end of that whole ordeal which made me just allow those Pokemon to tear Ein apart all the more." I told Ceramew.

"Oh, ok." He said, sitting up and pulled his way out of the hot spring. "I am getting pretty hungry." He said.

"Good. I know I love roasted chicken," Tails said. He waved, and turned the corner out of the cave. He hadn't heard anything from deeper in the cave, and was sure he wouldn't be gone too long...

But it wasn't a minute after Tails was gone that the flash of electricity danced across a far wall in the lower tunnel.

Tristen perked up and then looked over towards where Tails went off to. "Tails?" Tristen spoke up, standing up now. He could feel that electricity, not knowing what exactly what it was. Was something else here?

"Hm? Like what?" Thinking back to the events, she definitely couldn't say she realized much. When the command to leave was given, she couldn't help wondering why a little.

There was the cry of a pokemon as if erupting from the ground -- then of a trainer, presumably. The air was quickly wet with thunder and fire chi, and the weight of the wild Pokemon caused the cave to groan beneath it. This indicated this place was much deeper than it seemed.

"Let me put it like this." I said, lifting my head up towards Ceramew once more. "I think as a going-away present, Miles instilled upon me a certain clarity about things. A clarity that, when I look back on the things I done in hindsight, before we finally cornered Ein, then right at that very moment we did and I had him no more than a foot in front of me staring down an Ice Beam from me, it made my stomach turn a bit." I said. "There's no doubt that Ein deserved what he did, probably ten-fold, but...well." I then laid my head back down on the table. I knew what I was feeling but putting it to words? Eh. "I don't know how to explain it."

Tristen walked, kind of fast, towards his clothes and pulled out the Pokeball with his Natu. He didn't want to be fighting something, or someone, alone. He didn't like what exactly he was hearing. He wasn't all that sure if it was close or what. And given that Tails didn't answer back was all the more unsettling.

"You realized that if you ended him yourself, you wouldn't be any better off." It didn't take much to make that guess, and thinking on it, she wished she could've had that kind of clarity. "No matter what he did to deserve it... right?"
