Wren watched Asphodel's kicking around for a moment before Keiko called for an attack. When she did, he gave his partner direction at last. "Agility!" The Deerling froze for a split second before charging away from Deadra's incoming tail. On the plus side, though he didn't fight back this round, his speed would be increased a bit for the rest of the battle.

"I don't mind at all." Wren assured the woman as Asphodel came to a stop. "Use Nature Power again and keep the pressure on!" He directed the Deerling. Asphodel nodded and once again conjured up the faux Energy Ball once more using the ambient Grass energy in the training room as it's source. Except this time, instead of just throwing it, he actually channeled the energy to push back against the Ice Beam issued by the Sliggo he faced off against.

"Jump Kick!" Wren called to his partner. The cervine's legs were plenty strong enough to do what he hoped and he found that, luckily enough, he was right. Asphodel reared back and jumped high into the air, toward Deadrea. The Deerling barely cleared the top of the Sludge Wave and cave crashed back down, aiming to land on Deadra's back with his hooves aglow with Fighting energy.

Asphodel landed in the puddle of Sliggoo on the floor as the energy in his hooves faded away and stamped the ground a few times, just a bit confused. "Deer deer?" He asked the gooey puddle of Pokemon, pawing slightly at the grass through Deadra's liquid form.

"Don't keep standing there." Wren urged. "She'll get back up and attack if you do. Use Giga Drain while her movement's restricted." He called to the Season Pokemon. The flower on Asphodel's head began to glow a soft green as he attempted to leech the energy from the liquefied dragon slug/snail.

At the same instant, however, soaking up the energy of the somewhat stronger Dragon-type, his body began to glow and he, in turn, began to grow. As his body grew in size, the flower on his head withered and a pair of branch-like antlers sprouted from his skull, sprouting a large mass of deep green leaves all at once as the horns continued to glow once the evolution was complete.

"Thanks!" Wren thanked Keiko, though it seemed neither he nor Asphodel would get to enjoy the change all that much. The Sludge Bomb that came at him caught Asphodel off guard and sent him sprawling across the holographic grass. "That's alright, Asphodel. Go ahead and take a break." The Channeler told his partner as he recalled him.

Looking up toward the ceiling, he spoke to GRAY. "Can I get some water or something in here?"

"Not unless you plan to carry it in one bucket at a time." The AI snapped back. "It's all lasers, smoke and mirrors in here. You want actual water, go to the pool downstairs or outside!"

"I didn't need to be degraded to get a yes or no answer." Wren said to himself as he pulled Hyacinth's Nest Ball from his waist and tossed it into the air now. The Flabébé appeared from her ball and floated in place for a moment. "Um... I know this thing's supposed to have a Pokedex feature in it, right?" The Channeler said to himself as he pulled out his SNAG and tried to look up Hyacinth's data and try to find out what kinds of moves she could use. It took him a few minutes but he eventually figured it out, scrolling through the list for a moment before calling an attack. "Hyacinth, use Vine Whip."

The Tiny Fairy-type nodded and snapped her flower forward, the stamen magically growing into a full-sized whip that snapped out and lashed at the Sliggoo.

"Wait, what?" Wren heard Keiko's comments about Hyacinth and froze for a second. That was news to him. He'd never heard of this "Fairy-type" before now. "What's a Fairy-type?"

Unfortunately, his distraction allowed his unfortunate ally to be struck by the incoming Iron Tail. Barely. Her tiny size made her but a speck at range and Sliggoo weren't known for having the best of eyesight, after all. Reviewing Hyacinth's Pokedex page once again, the Channeler felt himself growing red with embarrassment. How could he have made the mistake of thinking she was a Grass-type?! Probably because the only Fairy-type Pokemon native to Unova lived in a forest he'd visited once in his life and he never saw many trainers doing much other than passing through in Lentimas.

Searching through the list of her potential moves once again, he found something. A Fairy-type move that seemed useful. "Hyacinth, use...Dazzling Gleam?" He ordered, not sure if he was reading the attack's name correctly. The tiny Single Bloom Pokemon nodded and, raising her flower into the air like a parasol, she let loose a searing flash of Fairy-infused light aimed at Deadra.

Keiko's lack of contribution regarding what a Fairy-type was didn't ease Wren's anxiety any and, in fact, made it worse as he frantically scrolled through the information about Hyacinth to figure out what he could glean from just her page. "Um... Try using Petal Blizzard?" He asked the tiny Fairy-type on his side of this training session.

"Bébé!" Hyacinth exclaimed, nodding as she spun in place and shook her flower around, generating a cluster of flower petals that danced and darted around her, sharpened edges cutting at the Dragon-type she was facing off against. Wren sighed with relief when Hyacinth produced another attack he had called. He wasn't even totally sure what all attacks she actually knew at this point and the revelation that she wasn't the type he'd thought she was was going to throw him of for a while.
