The Gundams were not in complete unison in combat, although the enemy's lack of information on the units allowed for the Orb pilots to fight effectively. As a Strike Saber switched to its beam saber and swung at Ryuu in the Atama, he was forced to block with his shield, and attempting to shoot the unit with his beam rifle. Unfortunately, the unit kicked off of the shield, boosting away with the other Ghost units. "Not yet!" He let the gundam's programming follow the unit on the screen, aiming the rifle as appropriate. The Ghost unit stopped near a black Slaughter Dagger, and Ryuu took the chance to kill the Ghost of Cosmos pilot.

While he was acceptable as an Astray pilot, his suit was destroyed on the first day of fighting and he choose to become a crewmen instead. Serving with a man named Hazuko, he was able to survive the first and second Bloody Valentine wars. He gained the rank of Lieutenant with Hazuko's personal request for him to be his XO on the Uzumi Nara.
Ryuu believes deeply in Orb's motto, but also thinks if someone has the ability to help others, they should whether it involves them or not. With the shock of his experience, he gets shaky when piloting a mobile suit. He also holds a grudge against Blue Cosmos for his parent's death. The battle was going well for the Uzumi's quickened launch. XO Natalie Autumn was performing well in her combat duties. With the battle going on, Hazuko checked the wound on his leg, as the bleeding stopped, although he had lost a lot of blood before it it ended. "Enemy signal captain!" one of the bridge members announced, and Hazuko looked up to see the signal flares of a general retreat. "Do not allow them to retreat. Destroy the enemy carrier and mobile suits!" It wasn't much use as the majority of Ghost suits were retreating from effective range and the Thixo was beginning to activate its Mirrage Colloid.
Name: Haru Hazuko Genetic Type: Natural Rank: Commander Position: Uzumi Nara Captain Background & Personality: A true commander of Orb, Haru Hazuko has been a loyal Orb soldier since he could sign up. Before the advent of the M1 Astray, he was proud of the Orb's military might and felt it could defend against ZAFT or the Earth Forces without mobile suits. When the invasion of Orb happened, he was proven wrong and focused on generating his own anti-mobile suits tactics. Some of which were successful, and he was promoted to Commander by the end of the second war. He was selected as the Orb military's first choice to captain the Fujin, and he recommended his long-time crewmember Ryuu Taiki to transfer onto the ship as well. With Haru's experience, the recommendation was accepted.
Unlike his subordinate, Haru is a very serious and strict military commander. While he knows about the cost of war, he also believes war is sometimes a necessary evil. He holds a dislike for the Earth Alliance and ZAFT after each invasion on the Orb homeland. He also smokes often and has an occasional drink for celebrations. With his knowledge of the previous major gundam projects, he was the biggest supporter and influence on Project H(inode), and remained paranoid all the way to the launch ceremony. Appearance:

"Acknowledged." Yaichiro responded to the Uzumi Nara's CO. With the enemy in retreat and long range support fire established, this was closer to his machine's specifications. He cleaved through one of the Slaughter Daggers he had targeted and grabbed its shield, activating his machine's more advanced propulsion systems. With better protection against the enemy's attacks and after verifying his machine's energy reserves as being sufficient, he accelerated to intercept the fleeing units. His low-powered Beam Gun fired at the retreating forces. One Dagger L was struck in the back, its cockpit pierced by the closing Sasu and its torso exploding as a result of the damage to its power system. Even a low-powered beam could kill under the right circumstances. He kept pressing to close, intending to slash and tear into the Mobile Suits...and on into the Thixo's bridge if Providence override probability.
"I don't enjoy shooting someone in the back..but these terrorists don't deserve such consideration." Yaichiro said to himself, justifying the normally cowardly action by reminding himself of who he was fighting. He was fighting an enemy that used terrorism to destroy the peace...extremists who were a violent threat to all. These weren't soldiers representing a nation and populace, they were terrorists fighting for an overtly destructive ideal...and if they had to die like dogs to be stopped, then that's just what he'd have to do...
Name: Yaichiro Kage, 20 Genetic Type: Coordinator Rank: Lieutenant, Junior Grade Position: Uzumi Nara Mobile Suit Pilot Background & Personality: Having lost his family during the First Bloody Valentine War and having no other prospects in spite of his fine academics, Yaichiro signed up for the Orb military to help deter a second invasion of Orb when he finished school. He realized that little had been settled with permanence in the conflict and soon found his fears confirmed. Not long after finishing his training, he found himself participating in the Second Bloody Valentine War as a MVF-M11C Murasame Pilot. He proved to be a good all-purpose pilot, having a predisposition for ranged combat but refusing to let his melee skills suffer as a result. At the medical bay. Kira was just finishing getting patched up when he had *the feeling* of Flay nearby again. He quickly started having thoughts about her." That is Flay, shes alive! " Kira quickly asked the doctor for a direct line to the bridge. " Contact the bridge please! "The doctor refused seeing he was a Zaft officer anyway.

When Kira and Lacus saw each other in the PLANTs they immediately rushed towards one another and hugged each other, surprising most of the people present.

Still, things could have been worse - and from the looks of it things were turning about into their favor again, for now. It didn't change the fact that people got hurt. And that many didn't have to.

Their speed was remarkable! It seemed the Uzumi was going to open fire, and once it did they’d better not be in the way. “Ugh- heads up.” The enemy seemed less like a threat for now, they were outmatched. Serves them right- but it still made her feel a bit sick to her stomach.
Player; Enji_Chou Name: Mori Soushani (20) Genetic Type: coordinator Rank: Civilian/ Ensign Position: Zaft Moble Suit Pilot Background & Personality: Mori was originally born in Orb to a Natural and a Coordinator. Her mother Miki, a former Zaft deserter met her husband in Orb, an aboriginal named Van. Miki became pregnant while in Orb, but with the upcoming war she feared the tension would draw attention to her child once she was born. Psychic practice has been a family trade for generations: fortune telling, dowsing, scrying, ect- and it was passed down to their child from her father. Whether or not the practice held any merit was anyone’s guess but the devout of course hold it dear. Mori doesn't practice this passtime blatantly out in the open, but rather in private for fun- or when feeling homesick.
Mori has shown to possess spatial awareness and uses this in combat.
Before the destruction of Orb she was a civilian, but afterward was found by Zaft forces and taken in. She worked on suits as a mechanic only at first, until Lacus took over, and then fully enlisted herself to make use of her piloting skills. Mori feels from this position she could watch over the new Zaft and trust in the songstresse's intensions. Mori took her father’s last name to avoid conflict for being the child of a deserter. Her mother’s full name was Miki Kanada. and it turned out Mik taught Mori how to use a moble suit, believing her daughter could not avoid the conflict forever, even when they lived in Orb at the time. "At the very least, you can use this skill to stay alive if you ever find yourself trapped in the middle of this war. Just stay alive Mori."
Mori is known as a sensitive yet cheerful sort, and not without conviction. She has a deep love for the earth, possibly because of her father. Mori wears transition glasses, not because she needs them to see, but rather her eyes are sensitive to very bright light. While no evidence has shown medically as to why she feels sensitive, doctors suggest it’s possibly a mental issue. Mori is also known for working very hard and being a bit more "sturdy" then she looks. This isn't actually true, she's just stubborn and tends to take on more work and pressure then she should- giving the illusion of more resilience. She has a high pain tolerance as well. Mori's devotion to her's fathers traditions runs deep and she's been spotted singing over the suits in the hangar when staff isn't around- it appears she prays for the souls of those fighting.
The fighting began to dwindle down everywhere, and the Ghost squads were in retreat except for the Dagger units in combat with the new Gundams. As Flay's time limit ran out and she began firing blindly at the Orb mobile suits' direction, two of her allies reversed their direction to aid the carbon human. Firing at the gundams as well, they flanked the sides of the berserk mobile suit, gripping it tight before using their full thrust to drag the single unit away to the Thixo. "Damn fake. Can't even follow a single retreat order!" one of the unit's pilots retorted as they dragged the mobile suit away to the Thixo's defense range.

The Ghost mobile suit exploded as the Atama's beam rifle shot connected its back, burning a hole through the cockpit. "Damn terrorist." When the Slaughter Dagger began firing wildly, Ryuu was forced to raise his shield to protect himself as he closed the distance. As the Ghost mobile suits pulled their ally back into the enemy carrier's range, Ryuu's progress was slowed, and he was forced to reverse as soon as beams passed his suit. The Ghost mobile suits who retreated to the carrier began to cover for their escaping allies while the carrier's mirage colloid system removed the terrorist ship from visual and electronic view. Ryuu checked the battery of his mobile suit. He wouldn't last long with his current level, so the Lieutenant reversed his mobile suit to return to the Uzumi Nara."My energy level is getting low, returning to the Uzumi Nara."

Commander Hazuko watched the progress of the battle on his small screen with distaste. While he was glad the enemy forces were both in retreat, they already lost several of the Taerus to the leaving only seven for Orb's use, and five in the hands of the Ghosts. The enemy carrier's mirage colloid completion was one of the worst of his fears for the current battle. "Enemy carrier has completely activated its mirage colloid. We're only recieving the mobile suit signatures now." the communications officer reported. "I see that. Have our mobile suits help the defense forces, and the gundams return to the hangar. Find Lieutenant Commander Mochizuki and have him report to the hangar as well. Escort the ZAFT Chairwoman and Alliance President to my quarters immediately." The Orb Commander stood up from his captain's chair, now that the majority of combat operations were complete. "This day is a humiliation to Orb."

With the Thixo completely out of the Uzumi's sight's. Natalie quickly called off the firing of the Lohengrin." We won't pursue them any longer once there forces have completely withdrawn. " Natalie was also disappointed on the recent events.
