True... or ANH... or ROTJ... I'm not a big fan of ESB really, comparitively. I dunno why, it just... moved too slowly when I was a kid, and it wasn't what I watch the SW films for.

I personally like the battles more than the plotline, but for some reason, If it doesn't have a good plot, I hate the movie anyway...

Battles are good and all. thats why they call it Star Wars. conflict is a necessary part of the series. but no movie is worth seeing if theres a lousy story driving it.

i suppose the length goes to supplement the power of the laser cannons in the nose and the overall capacity for vital systems. my beef is the tiny size of the engines.

So they're tiny. Doesn't mean they can't be vectored properly to produce the speed of the E-wing (which according to the website i got this off of, it does)

Its a bit longer though, so the engines might draw some power from the body as well...

i think it's a little /too/ narrow for power supply like that... keep in mind, the lasers take up space. i'm guessing they're probably kick-a**, which means less room for other stuff. maybe towards the back of the nose, but that's hardly any kind of abnormally large power source.

It could be micro power generators... kinda like on Storm, Isolder's fighter.

I mean everything could be just downsized...

yeah, but the makers of Isolder's fighter never revealed their secrets. the Republic kept hounding htem, but they never gave in.

i assume the new jedi fighter is made by or under the sponsorship of the republic?

Remember folks, the TIE fighter series have little pidling engines, but are known for their insane speed.

also keep in mind that they have no hyperdrive and very little mass, as they have small weapons, no shields, and no life-support, and a smaller power source since the solar panels are used instead. the ionization reactor is practically external, too.

which is why the survivability rate of the things is almost 0.
